@@sycomantz hey genius, the "south" isn't a list of states that fought for the confederacy, its more an unofficial list of states south of the Mason Dixon line. @@mikeferry3391 it's an expression. Like I'm grateful. Stop being sensitive just because I said the word God. Jesus Christ guys! 😏

Ugh, I first saw her in a different role on Dirty John and she was amazing in that show as well. Her character has a valley girl accent and she nailed that too. Can’t wait to see her in many more projects :)

Weirdly enough i think she's the best actress in the series. She could portray a wide range of emotions, and you as the audience could almost feel what Ruth was feeling

Yes, I agree I couldn't look away when she was on screen. Definitely one of the leaders of her generation. But by the end of the series I was pretty amazed by Laura Linney morphing into Lady Macbeth - she was scary, but never overdone. Terrific performance.

Ozark is a masterpiece. The performances of Jason Bateman, Laura Linney and Julia Garner are also great.

She does a pretty good southern accent. I wonder why it's so hard for so many actors? They tend to Tennessee-Williams it up when it's more of a flat, lazy drawl, at least here in northwest Georgia. Think more Walmart than "Cat On A Hot Tin Roof." In that regard, she nails it. Plus, she's terrific in the show. Kinda strange how the second season, through the first four episodes, is more about the female characters than Marty. I like it.

It's hard to make it sound authentic. It's easy to sound cartoonist.

She doesn’t do a good job. It’s terrible actually. Really inconsistent. She’ll pronounce the same word differently all the time. Different vowels. Mixes different accents. And the accent she is attempting to do isn’t even an accent that exists in Missouri.

She's so damned good. That "I don't know fuck shit about essays" just had me rolling lmao! Anyone who's a fan, watch The Americans. Criminally underrated show, and she was great in that too for the little bit she was in it.

Just saying - when Marty and Wendy are in the van after leaving the snells...and Wendy is distraught about Darlene wanting a baby boy...Marty says “I’d give them quadruplets if they plowed that field”. Super good quote in my opinion 😂
