Nah. Marty was on the fence about joining the cartel. Remember in Season 1 Episode 8, said to Del “My wife would never go for it”. He talked with her, and she convinced him to. Later Wendy cheated on him, which distracted him, which led to the events of Ozark. Wendy wants to pretend as if she wasn’t the one who started this all and that she was just doing what was necessary, but ever since the end of Season 2 she’s just been OD.

That’s what Wendy always does, she always points the fingers and takes no responsibility for what she does. And when she does even somewhat attempt to take responsibility, she drags someone else down along with her.
