Have you reviewed calorie controlled GLP-1 studies? That’s what would be interesting, to see the differences in weight loss between placebo and treatment in a calorie controlled environment. Would elucidate any potential other weight loss mechanisms beyond appetite suppression and proportion of fat to muscle lost

I have seen this question floated in a few of the papers written analyzing the research trials done with human subjects. The problem is calories deficit is individualized and based on height, weight, gender, etc. so a 2300 kcal diet may put me in a larger or smaller deficit than the next person. What I think could be done (and will likely be done) is see if there any benefits of tirzepatide vs Semaglutide with question to body composition using serial DEXA scans. I’m expecting the upcoming retatrutide study will try to look at some of that. With that being said there are studies that have looked at the role of GLP1 receptor agonist in metabolism which show favorable actions on fat and cardiovascular disease. The research published so far has been on animal models. To be continued….

Love all your information you provide! Wish I lived closer. Would love a Dr that supported me and provided good information. Any tips for helping with the loose skin in the neck? I call it "turkey neck" Thank you for all advice

Hey there! Thank you so much for stopping by the channel! Up until recently we had only to options to deal with the “turkey neck” or loose hanging skin under the neck. 1. Wear as a badge of honor or 2. Surgery. We now have noninvasive options that can be done in the office setting including radiotherapy (heat) alone and Microneedling with or without radiotherapy. Right now in my office we do both of these procedures depending on the patients needs. If you aren’t looking to go under the knife you should Look around your area offering services like EmFace, Morpheus 8 as a great option. Good Luck!

Your losing weight and your face will change glp1 or whatever you use. Don’t blame a drug for that. Too much judgment from people - you do you and let everyone else live their life without your judgement!!
