Some really cool features in there, Ink to Table, Handwriting tidy up and that photo to editable text was amazing, still wish they'd put some effort into Octagon recognition but maybe that's next on the list;) I seriously hope some of this makes its way into OneNote.

You just Microsoft Whiteboard my friend. I have a "How to do it" question. I have Surface Pro 8. But, I like to do my Zoom meetings on my big computer screen. During the Zoom meetings, sometimes I want to explain with my handwritten notes and drawings. If I write on White board on Surface, how can I show my notes, live, on my computer screen?

You can use a Wacom tablet, like a bamboo. You won't write directly on the screen, but it's workable...

The canvas page move once my hand touch by mistake while I am writing. I thought they have a way to fix the paper while drawing or writing but this feature does not exist which is big disadvantage. I guess

Are you left handed? If so, you'll need to make sure that you have your device set up for left hand, so that palm rejection works properly for you.

First, I'd check if the app is up to date. It is possible that some features are not enabled in your language yet. Or maybe you need to turn them on. Check the Microsoft support pages for help.

I'm having trouble sharing my whiteboard with a colleague in another company. Is there a setting that is preventing or can enable us to share whiteboards across companies?

There is a company setting in the company Office 365 admin that enables and disables sharing for the Whiteboard app. The other company could have Whiteboard turned off.

You say it saves onto onedrive. I have a 365 account with onedrive. I like this app very much but I can't use it because I can't access it with my android devices - not even to look at without interacting. Last time I tried they wqanted me to pay for Azure. Am I doing it wrong or is it really impossible to access with android? Most 365 apps can be used on android.

I'm using it on Android. Only via the web browser. Not sure what's going on for you Sorry. Functionality is basic, but it works.

@@oztabletpc No, I'm afraid it doesn't work. With my 365 subscription - all apps and Onedrive work fine on Android. But you cannot even share a link to the Whiteboard on Android devices unless you buy Microsoft Azure. I think it is just a way of keeping it exclusive for big corporates. And that means big corporates who cannot share with anyone outside - like their clients, for example. Hi. I am a teacher teaching in distance learning. I bought the Surface Pro 7 so that I could create video lessons for my students. I teach math, so notes are a must. My problem that I am having is that when I use my pen, the microphone picks up every sound of the pen touching the surface. It is really annoying and I need it to stop. Could you give me some advice on how to change a setting on the microphone? I think that's what is picking up the sound. I have Bluetooth headphones that I would like use to speak so that I sound closer in my video than if I just made a video without them. I am using Screencastify to record videos. If you could please get back to me, I would forever be grateful. I need to make videos for the week. Thank you!

The Mics are built into the screen and the pen is tapping on it. The mics in the Pro 7 are very good, but there's no way around it that I know of (apart from lots of post production work). Your best bet is an external mic. Avoid Bluetooth. If you can grab a quality USB MIC. For example I have a Rode Studio NT USB.

my menu looks very different. I don't have the 'ink to shape' or 'ink to table" options??! Very annoying. Instead there's "enhanced ink shapes' which does the shape think, but can't make tables :(

Yeah, lots of things overlap don't they. But there are some subtle differences that suit certain scenarios. If OneNote works for you as a whiteboard (it does for me too), keep using it! And hopefully we'll see more of this functionality in OneNote too over time.

It's an office 365 program and it stores your white boards in OneDrive... And since it is designed to be a shared experience, OneDrive is integral to the product.

Circles, squares and polygons are there with shape recognition. Arrows would be nice for sure. I notice that PowerPoint does recognise arrow lines, so it should only be a matter of time...
