I bought a 'Like New' Delonghi coffee machine from Amazon UK...when it arrived it was pouring water all over the electrics from a hole in the boiler...I told them it was potentially life threatening due to electrocution. They told me it had been tested and was scrapped.......It turned up at a friends house two weeks later as 'Like New'...it still had the same life threatening fault. F Amazon, they are happy to kill people for money and lie about following even basic safety laws.

It makes me sad that pc building on a budget is nigh on impossible at the moment. Remember when you could go grab an athlon 750k and an HD 7870 and fire up bioshock infinite at 1080p and laugh heartily at the xbox 360 players, then the r9 range came out even stronger with that unlocked pentium (was it a g3528 or something). 10 years on and we're still chasing 1080p at a similar price point 😭. honestly, I'd say if anyone wanted to get into gaming get a series s and a t450s for school work.

I remember when I sold off my first gaming PC to get some money and was running a core 2 duo desktop my uncle gave + a GT 440. Man, it was painful and saving up took forever...but building my next PC (athlon 860K + radeon 7970) was SO sweet. First time I tried overclocking, watercooling, and eventually ITX. Loved that machine despite its price and age. Thanks for reminding me 😭 Honestly, your last point about the Series S + T450S seems like a great video concept. maybe ill give it a shot
@matthewsmith223 жыл бұрын
@@OzTalksHW thanks for the reply oz 😊 Do you think without that positive experience you would be into tech in the same way now? There must be a lot of people that are turned away by the prohibitive expense that might have eventually contributed to the tech world! I remember building a computer in the 90s from parts my school was going to throw out but got put off by how expensive gaming would be on a pc back then even. I have a t450s that I use for work, I chucked in a new WiFi card capable of 5ghz and Bluetooth and an ssd. It works great honestly, keeps up with my relatively light work load (I'm a teacher, so lesson planning and lots of spreadsheets is my focus). As a bonus it keeps up with project xcloud on gamepass. My desktop is a ryzen 5 3600 with an rtx 2070 super, honestly think it'll be my last unless the market alters where pc gaming is competitive again

If you're seeking the highest possible performance out of an igpu, the money you saved on the gpu should be spent on the best possible memory. High frequencies and lower timing will help minimize the effects of the igpu needing to share that dual channel bandwidth with the cpu.
@manofmidway82903 жыл бұрын
But pay close attention, no harm in getting the best for your money especially for a near future upgrade or prices being better. But the cache in your CPU has a max mhz that maybe lower than the Ram. For instance in my case I bought a kit of 16GB 3200mhz stock. But my Ryzen 5 Pro 2400GE has a max frequency of 2933 mhz and as such wouldn’t post properly. If you have a problem try looking up your CPU specs and look for max frequency supported. Go into your bios set your Ram to the DOCP settings then just down scale (or upscale) the mhz to the max your CPU supports. Good luck to all of you and may the gaming gods bless you with a GPU near MSRP.

OZ videos are great. Not that I am paying that much attention to the content. I am sure there are plenty of people that needs guidance on the other side of thousands of bucks for PC. But I just relax listening to his calming voice and that background music :D Good job mate.

So many people who look for gaming pc's have no idea what the specs mean...they get taken advantage of all the time. Not to mention the technical issues

got the same one about a year ago and when i knew nothing about computers. One year later ive swapped the motherboard with a tomohawk z490, cpu with an i5-10400f, and a gtx 1060 3gb. its not the best, but it gets the job done.
