I also like twist ties vs zip ties because you don't have to cut them out if you need to make a quick change, but I have received flack in the comments from people saying that you run the risk of them breaking and possibly shorting something. Imma have to call BS on that lol, the chances of that happening are near zero, but backseat experts looking for anything to nitpick these days. Awesome take on the ASMR-esque video Ozi!

I started getting anxiety as an adult (oddly backwards compared to most), and found the most effective way to suppress/get rid of it was to tackle a project. Working with your hands, being active, and working in open spaces helped me a ton. I actually started streaming my projects to twitch, so far I've rebuilt a dirt bike (which was actually my career at one point), repaired a street bike, repaired various other small engines, and have most recently been building a custom turbo LS Camaro. My viewer count is low (obviously, I'm well outside of the twitch "normal"), but I've had quite a few people chime in and say that this method of being physically active while also using your brain has helped them a lot.

@Joseph Mulloy @Emaad Shariff OMG... I used to watch him, too, years ago, for a number of months. *Build Wars,* or whatever that show was called, was pretty interesting, and Luke was good, especially on their Friday afternoon chat show... He didn’t add much, to either, minus a personality that was interesting, for a short while... However, these days, he’s milking _everything_ out of his brand, if you haven’t seen. He’s phoned it in, at this point, and his crew are not good “presences,” I guess one would say - because that’s all about which his channels are, nowadays... I’m no longer a sub, but because of the content I watch, I still get reco’d videos, from his channelS. Even the thumbnails and titles are obnoxious to the point of disgusting, at this point, and - as it had been - he’s _completely_ about that monetization... ... and yeah, this was basically a sin confessional, on my part, for having watched his earlier garbage, even when it wast so horrible and his obnoxious elitism was relatively tongue-in-cheek...

I do have one tip for cable management. I work as an electrician and if you get some sticky backs you can secure them to the back of the case, stick some wire ties (also known as zip ties) through them, and secure the wires along a set route to keep them tidy. It’s what we use in breaker boxes behind the cover to keep the wires tidy and organized or you could also use cable clips. They have a sticky back and clip down over the wires to hold them in place or the cables slide into it

By the way: velcro ties are the way to go. They're reusable, they don't cut you after you cut them, and they don't risk the chance of shorting anything out if they get stripped. I use them all the time at work because of how many cables I have to keep together. Super handy stuff.
@alphaasianjosh3 жыл бұрын
Can vouch for velcro ties! Bought a 60 pack for $6 and now my rig is looking cleaner than my browser history. Only downside I can really thing of is that they’re not as low profile as zip ties unless you cut off the excess velcro, but that’s an easy fix.

just a couple cable management hints for you, patience is key , take the time to look at and think out the layout , do not be afraid to try several different layout options. on the back , try to avoid bundling too many cables together and avoid crossing cables if you can , this causes bunching and bulkier cable bundles which affect the replacement of the rear panel. do use cable ties rather than the twist ties , you will get tighter , neater bundles , you can get zip ties for under 5 bucks per hundred. if you can , cheap cable extensions added on can go a long way , even the thinnest non modular cables can and will bunch up on you , extensions and combs help with that a LOT, most of all have fun with it and get creative , do not look at cable management as a chore , think of it as a point to get creative and as a problem solving exercise

I love the fact that you build cheap computers. Goes to show that you don't have to spend a grand to get a good system. Even with upgrades it's less than a grand. I'm sold

😁🙂 I enjoyed all of the background waving and finger tapping, as if you were tired of waiting on the narrator, which was you. It was all around fun and entertaining to watch. I seriously laughed out loud when you waved in the reflection of the shiny plastic. I do wonder how these builds would fair under Linux mint or something though. You might get higher FPS on lower end machines with steam on Linux.
@kinazura5904 жыл бұрын
I've had a shot at this: running Rocket League on Windows 10 versus running it on Linux Mint. My PC was pretty low end at the time, but I'm pretty darn sure Windows is better, at least for RL. I can't say for every game.
@Camtcan4 жыл бұрын
@@kinazura590 i know that certain games are just better on Linux, especially on low end systems, because of Steam Proton. Steam Proton is a group that basically recompiles the games for Linux to know what to do with it, and in some cases optimizes it, such as GTAV, and makes it run at 20-30 more FPS at the same setting on both Linux and Windows. These tests were done with Manjaro, just as a heads up

If you want higher taxes for over priced laptops tell your local school board. I personally pay $8,000/year in school taxes. Over 40 years thats $320,000 that we will never use as we send our kids to private schools. I'm not complaining but a lot of people seem to think that the gov't is a bottomless source of free stuff. It's not. Nothing personal,but you're coming from a place of entitlement. Try being grateful that you got anything at all to help with your education. You'll actually be a lot happier.
@Neurons_4 жыл бұрын
Donald Hess I totally get what your saying and I understand we’re your coming from and I am greatfull for the laptop but at the same time they are trying to make us run 5 programs at once but the laptop cannot handle google also this is the only time my school has really spent money on us students. They think spending money on sports is more important than our education like other schools actually got better stuff than us and I’m not trying to say that as me being ungrateful but if there gonna cheap out on us then so be it but then our teachers wonder why it takes for ever for students to load up ixl. I’m just kinda mad with the situation my school is in rn.
