Thanks for all the support on this video 😊 I wasn't expecting people to enjoy it this much. I'm planning a $500 build in this same format for the middle of this month. The song names and artists are in the description under "Fiber".

dude if I saw you from afar, i'd swear you were my fkin brother lol...I saw he thumbnail and was like WTF?? However the difference is he has more of a receding hair line and he rarely grows out his beard lol. That angle when you reading the book, that is so dead on lol... When you focus out the camera, you and him look EXACTLY the same XD...He wont see it because he knows how he looks, you wont see it because you know how you look..but for the rest of the humans they would say yall looked alike. EDIT: Lol saw a vid with you without a beard, ya'll will look nothing alike. but with that beard and certain lighting, I dare say mistaken as twins lol...

Dude! I remember you! You built my pc many years ago and I've been using it daily and have had an enjoyable experience up until last month when I built my own. I've been looking up PC building videos to aid in my PC building journey and maybe that's how I landed here. It's so nice to see you doing well and creating great content. Whenever you're not feeling a 100% just remember the people like me whom you've helped along the way.

I also like twist ties vs zip ties because you don't have to cut them out if you need to make a quick change, but I have received flack in the comments from people saying that you run the risk of them breaking and possibly shorting something. Imma have to call BS on that lol, the chances of that happening are near zero, but backseat experts looking for anything to nitpick these days. Awesome take on the ASMR-esque video Ozi!

I started getting anxiety as an adult (oddly backwards compared to most), and found the most effective way to suppress/get rid of it was to tackle a project. Working with your hands, being active, and working in open spaces helped me a ton. I actually started streaming my projects to twitch, so far I've rebuilt a dirt bike (which was actually my career at one point), repaired a street bike, repaired various other small engines, and have most recently been building a custom turbo LS Camaro. My viewer count is low (obviously, I'm well outside of the twitch "normal"), but I've had quite a few people chime in and say that this method of being physically active while also using your brain has helped them a lot.

@Joseph Mulloy @Emaad Shariff OMG... I used to watch him, too, years ago, for a number of months. *Build Wars,* or whatever that show was called, was pretty interesting, and Luke was good, especially on their Friday afternoon chat show... He didn’t add much, to either, minus a personality that was interesting, for a short while... However, these days, he’s milking _everything_ out of his brand, if you haven’t seen. He’s phoned it in, at this point, and his crew are not good “presences,” I guess one would say - because that’s all about which his channels are, nowadays... I’m no longer a sub, but because of the content I watch, I still get reco’d videos, from his channelS. Even the thumbnails and titles are obnoxious to the point of disgusting, at this point, and - as it had been - he’s _completely_ about that monetization... ... and yeah, this was basically a sin confessional, on my part, for having watched his earlier garbage, even when it wast so horrible and his obnoxious elitism was relatively tongue-in-cheek...

I do have one tip for cable management. I work as an electrician and if you get some sticky backs you can secure them to the back of the case, stick some wire ties (also known as zip ties) through them, and secure the wires along a set route to keep them tidy. It’s what we use in breaker boxes behind the cover to keep the wires tidy and organized or you could also use cable clips. They have a sticky back and clip down over the wires to hold them in place or the cables slide into it

I know a lot of people prefer twist ties to zips but, after having built my own computer (1st one because of great videos like this) I found that zip ties are my preference. I just did a little pre planning before I just went straight to trying to run cables and plug everything in. By the time I was done the cables were so close together I almost didn’t need the zips but, I just used them for good measure anyways. There is something very satisfying about clean cable runs that gets me going lol.

The Intel socket cover is actually designed to be left on while you install the CPU. Once you have seated it, close and latch the CPU retainer and the cover will pop off on its own. This process avoids accidental damage to the socket pins while prying off the cover.

Fun fact there are pre-builts out there that won't do as well or look half as good for 2x this amount. No real criticisms considering the budget for this PC. Great video! :)

By the way: velcro ties are the way to go. They're reusable, they don't cut you after you cut them, and they don't risk the chance of shorting anything out if they get stripped. I use them all the time at work because of how many cables I have to keep together. Super handy stuff.
@alphaasianjosh
@alphaasianjosh 3 жыл бұрын
Can vouch for velcro ties! Bought a 60 pack for $6 and now my rig is looking cleaner than my browser history. Only downside I can really thing of is that they’re not as low profile as zip ties unless you cut off the excess velcro, but that’s an easy fix.

My RX 570 was a solid piece of Graphics card when it came to 1080p 60fps gaming (well with max settings, 60 fps was not always hit). It was always ready to perform tasks which I would throw at it. Definitely a go-to card for 1080p gaming.

:-) Whenever I see a budget build like this I feel like I overspend on PC hardware just to scratch that itch for having a nice rig. I barely use the full potential of my build, most of it is just browsing and KZbin. I just bought an Athlon 200GE for a secondary PC (already had a motherboard, RAM and cooler lying around), it will probably be enough for 90 % of what I do on a daily basis. Thank you for this awesome video, very calming.

just a couple cable management hints for you, patience is key , take the time to look at and think out the layout , do not be afraid to try several different layout options. on the back , try to avoid bundling too many cables together and avoid crossing cables if you can , this causes bunching and bulkier cable bundles which affect the replacement of the rear panel. do use cable ties rather than the twist ties , you will get tighter , neater bundles , you can get zip ties for under 5 bucks per hundred. if you can , cheap cable extensions added on can go a long way , even the thinnest non modular cables can and will bunch up on you , extensions and combs help with that a LOT, most of all have fun with it and get creative , do not look at cable management as a chore , think of it as a point to get creative and as a problem solving exercise

I've had a shot at this: running Rocket League on Windows 10 versus running it on Linux Mint. My PC was pretty low end at the time, but I'm pretty darn sure Windows is better, at least for RL. I can't say for every game.
@Camtcan
@Camtcan 4 жыл бұрын
@@kinazura590 i know that certain games are just better on Linux, especially on low end systems, because of Steam Proton. Steam Proton is a group that basically recompiles the games for Linux to know what to do with it, and in some cases optimizes it, such as GTAV, and makes it run at 20-30 more FPS at the same setting on both Linux and Windows. These tests were done with Manjaro, just as a heads up

If you want higher taxes for over priced laptops tell your local school board. I personally pay $8,000/year in school taxes. Over 40 years thats $320,000 that we will never use as we send our kids to private schools. I'm not complaining but a lot of people seem to think that the gov't is a bottomless source of free stuff. It's not. Nothing personal,but you're coming from a place of entitlement. Try being grateful that you got anything at all to help with your education. You'll actually be a lot happier.

Donald Hess I totally get what your saying and I understand we’re your coming from and I am greatfull for the laptop but at the same time they are trying to make us run 5 programs at once but the laptop cannot handle google also this is the only time my school has really spent money on us students. They think spending money on sports is more important than our education like other schools actually got better stuff than us and I’m not trying to say that as me being ungrateful but if there gonna cheap out on us then so be it but then our teachers wonder why it takes for ever for students to load up ixl. I’m just kinda mad with the situation my school is in rn.
