Wow. You inadvertently solved my problem. Must have had a bad battery in my fob so I bought some new and installed one. Was all set to order a new fob when you showed how to install a new one.......writing face down. I had it face up. Now I am good. Thanks much.

Both of our FOBs were starting to fail i.e. sometimes the car door wouldn't unlock when depressing the handle so I determined that the batteries must be running low. At some point we did see the message on the dash but then I thought, what would I di if the battery had failed and I wasn't able to purchase one. Your video is GREAT!!! I tried doing the same thing and low and behold, it worked like a charm. thank you!

What do you think about Hyundais ozz? We have had three new ones and never have had any troubles

First one I have ever owned since new, 2013 model with now 78K miles. No issues except for a recalled blower motor relay and a defective rear coupler $1,000 part (71k miles) that I got covered under warranty. That is a youtube video in itself which I should post for interested Hyundai owners that have a creeking sound/popping noise. I feel they are decent good cars and just as reliable as any other asian make. The older Hyundai's not so much.

I have a Hyundai Sinatra with a push start and the research I did most of these cars have a key fob holder in them so if the battery goes low all you have to do I put the key fob in the holder and it will start Hyundai I have is in the armrest glove box near the bottom Mini Cooper they have the holder right beside the button that's how you start the car if the batteries low on key fob but thanks for the tip good video

Pushed the spring in then the plastic piece, then snapped it together.

Is there a way to disable the Panic button? It goes off at least once a week when I have my key ring in my pocket and other keys press on it.

My Hyundai Sonata has a place inside the center console storage area where you plug the fob in to start and run the car when the fob battery is dead. Does this car not have that?

Bosch wipers were the best I found. That's when they were still being made in Germany, now even the Germans are have them made in China according to the packaging. Surprisingly I find the quality is still decent. The more expen$ive wipers usually work the best for the longest time. $15-20 each. Take care Matt

Just bot a 2019 Santa Fe. I got a "no key detected" warning on the dash. Even though I got the car started, and could put in drive or reverse, couldn't turn the wheel! Eventually detected key again and back to normal.

Sounds almost like a weak key fob battery. Did you try the second factory key fob to see if it works okay? If it does, then you found the problem.

I'm trying to find instructions to program it myself but people r telling me I have to spend $150 to have a locksmith program it. I have a 2015 Hyundai Elantra that stalled on me about a block from home and would not even take a jump! Had some intermittent start issues where a jump pack of jump was required, and so replaced the battery the starter. No go! Changed the key fob battery and the car had some life. I can now open the doors and get it to ACC mode. It's a manual transmission, but I'm going to try this. After the vehicle had sat for 7 months my first attempt it nearly turned over but stalled right away. And it hasn't gotten that close since. I'm wondering if a reprogram is in order but Hyundai wants me to fork over a couple hundred for the tow and pay them $180 an hour to diagnose! However, since Hyundai decided to cut corners on other models they are considered high theft risk and my insurance as a single male early 40s went from about $120 a month to $345, and no other insurance companies will insure it! Even though it's not included in the class of vehicles that a California court accepted a settlement for! And it obviously has the security features! It makes one really despise a system that forces you to carry insurance but then allows insurance companies to discriminate against individuals based on things completely outside of their control. And it certainly makes me not want to give Hyundai another Nickel!

I would use a scan tool and check to see if the PCM is communicating. If not, then it is time to test powers and grounds.Test don't guess or pay someone to do a proper diagnosis. Saves time and money firing the parts cannon.

I've read that if you keep the fob within a certain range of the car, it can cause the fob battery to run down. Maybe ask a Hyundai service advisor to verify. Our Hyundai fobs go about three years before requiring new batteries.

The Hyundai key fobs have a design flaw. The button to remove the key is too sensitive. The fob will come off in a pocket, or purse. We had already replaced one of the fobs. I simply taped the key onto the fob so it wont fall off.

All fine except not telling us how to keep the spring in the fob while trying to close it. Where does the little piece of plastic that looks like it might hold the spring go? You also didn't say which year model this fob goes to. I tried closing it a dozen times before finally taking it to the dealer to get it closed.

There is nothing about how to open the case when it's sealed by the manufacturer. My Hyundai key case is sealed and will not open easily. The video make it look too easy. It uses a case that just pops open. Try living in the real world.
