Your reaction to that first solo put tears in my eyes. I'm 26.. I've played guitar for 14 years, and Randy Rhoads inspired me. He was way ahead of his time. An absolute GODSEND to the classical inspired guitar solo. Check out suicide solution on the tribute album regarding Randy's death. You will not regret it.

I was a freshman in high school when Randy died, to this day I get tears when I see videos of him playing, I don't care what anyone says, in my opinion there's Hendrix, page and roads, then there's the rest. His background in classical music is what sets in apart from all the others, read a article about how Randy would visit the local guitar lesson studio of what ever town they were playing in and get some lessons or advice from the teachers, he was a master and a student of the Craft. Who knows how far he would have taken his skills, he didn't care about how fast he could play or finger tapping gimmick type stuff, he's playing was so far above all that, he was looking to see how far he could take his knowledge. Damn, just like Hendrix, he was around for only a moment. But definitely left their mark

BRO! I appreciate you goin" off on Ozzie. The guitar player was Randy Rhodes who became a super star after joining Ozzie. Black Sabbath pretty much dropped Oxxie on his ear when they kicked him to the curb. The world thought this was the end of Ozzie Osbourne. To everyone's surprise, Ozzie quickly became bigger then Black Sabbath ever was. Randy composed music ideal for Ozzie's voice and the new Ozzie was a huge success. Their First album Blizzard of Ozz though had moderate success at first, brought new life to the Prince of Darkness. Their second album The Diary of a Mad Man, Really showcased Randy Rhodes and a top Guitar hero, composer and song writer. Sadly, Randy was killed in an airplane crash in March of 1983. But it was enough to launch Ozzie on his solo career. A little history to go with the vid. Peace out and be well. You have a new fan. All buttons have been mashed. I like pure reactions way better than rehearsed polished presentations. "Real is the deal bro."

Randy Rhodes! Gone WAY too soon. A tragedy for music in general. Trained in classical music yet could shred and solo at an Eddie Van Halen level. Who knows what he could have done if he had continued. He was practically just warming up with all this and then taken away from us. Also, unless you were alive in the 80s and 90s it's incredibly difficult to understand just how HUGE Ozzy was. Like he was THE guy. In the 80s Rock/Metal was declared dead (insane to think now) and pop/new wave/rap was the future! It was basically Ozzy and Van Halen who kept it alive so it could have a resurgence with the mid-80s Hair Metal bands while Ozzy would take unknown bands at the time on the road with him such as a little band called METALLICA among others and introduce the world to them. In the 90s he began these Metal festivals called Ozzfest and practically every band you can think of at the time (Slayer, Pantera, Slipknot, Fear Factory, Sevendust, The Deftones, Megadeth, Godsmack, Primus, System of a Down and tons more) came to unite under the metal banner that is Ozzy. Without him Metal honestly might have died out or be a small underground scene right now. Thank Ozzy that never happened.

Spandex was big in the early 80’s. Just something we saw in R&R bands 👍but I get your point. I believe (could be wrong) that’s this was like a video demo of Me. Crowley. Randy Rhodes ( Guitar) was about 25? At this time, classically trained as you could probably tell by his playing style, and just an all around brilliant guitarist. I think you see why we all that man. Sadly we lost him to aircraft crash (he was a passenger)the following year.
