When he screamed all aboard, his eyes opened, and you can see the Ozzy of old literally rose up like a phoenix, holy crap that gave me chills. Not even parkinsons can stop the man.

Ozzy's the real deal, yep. The performance sure went off the rails though, 100% train-wreck. Chad, Robert, and Zack all locked-in and no problems, Maynard is an odd fit for this mix but amongst the whole lot of them is the only one who can actually sing. Who is that off-key clown at 18 minutes 30 seconds? It's a choice.

You can't be nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame until you're 25 years into your career. That's an actual rule. I welcome anyone to google it for confirmation. So Ozzy wasn't eligible to be nominated for his solo work until 2005 (his first solo album came out in 1980), so really it's been a 19 year wait.

Huge HUGE albums - and for a very select few, the best of Ozzy's solo career. Not to diss on Randy (OBVIOUSLY) or the amazing work by Zakk (or even Gus!), but the Jake E Lee albums were amazing, in their pacing, in their sound profile, in the rhythm of the songs, it was totally pure 80's heavy metal. Even Ozzy who doesn't like The Ultimate Sin album, kept Shot in the dark as a staple in the live set. So much great music, so many beautiful sounds and memories.

The first time I heard Ozzy was when my older brother put on the Speak of the Devil album. Those are Black Sabbath songs with a new band. Brad Gillis did an awesome job considering he was also in Night Ranger. Helped Ozzy out big time to meet his recording contract after Randy Rhoades crashed into the house after clipping the tour bus. Listened to that album about 5 billion times. The solo album stuff was just so sophisticated I really didn't understand it but I warmed up to it and saw it's genius. Huge fan.

Billy was the only one that really got in the same neighborhood. I think that is because he is also British and a hard rock singer. The other two are pop singers, of course they could not come close. Would have liked to see someone like Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper or Sammy Hagar, who I saw in the crowd. Saw Hagar recently and he can still belt it out. Seen the other two a few years back and they still had it.

It was you Ozzy… thank you from the biggest part of me and my families heart. 😊❤️… know this… that day, you brought this family together and they were on the same page about one thing… the “Black sabbath”, “Ozzy”, “Osborne’s” connection… yeah, a bit of a disconnect, but it is ours and we will have it always… as the 52 year old youngest in that family I’m gonna remember it forever. Jelly Roll isn’t a Metal Artist he’s a Country Artist with great sound in that genre I think all their inner ear pieces weren’t working because even Cher sounded off key, it wasn’t some of the artists it was the behind the scenes stuff that made many not sound great. This being said, it was about honoring the artist, and all were old. Jelly roll is a great artist at his own craft don’t judge an artist for all the poor sound of every artist inducted it was a sound issue period, point blank that made the bad worse and the good sound bad. The whole thing should be a do over in the production of off sound they couldn’t hear themselves through their earpieces, don’t judge.

My 24th birthday was the best day of my life, it was ozzfest meets knotfest. It was on September 24th. I had the most incredible time and it was a pleasure to watch Black Sabbath. Ozzy was sick that day, yet the entire time he just fucking smiled. It makes me cry just typing this out. He said “I apologize I’m sick as fuck but I’m gonna keep singing” and you could hear the cold yet he just didn’t stop; it was insane. I stood there for hours waiting for their set and then I saw a crowd on 70/80000 people behind me. It was absolutely life changing. The love, the energy, his heart. I’m glad Black Sabbath was inducted years ago but I gotta be honest they waited too long to induct Ozzy on his own. He deserves all of his roses. He’s almost 80. He changed music for the better and I thank him and Black Sabbath for honest poetry. It shaped me into the artist I am today and I am privileged to had the opportunity to see them live. I wish Ozzy the most amazing lifetime and his family. His autobiography was insane. There was a part that said (something like this), “ you only come into this world one way but there are so many fucked up ways to leave it.” This man sculpted so many careers and so many people’s hearts. I’m grateful to listen to his music as well as Sabbath. Changed my fucking life for the better. Thank you, Ozzy. You’re a madman and I love you for it.

@@hysteria697 Yeah, Ozzy sent him a message as well after it happened. He mentioned Randy Rhoads here so thought he could have mentioned Bob Daisley as well since he played a pretty important role in the early stages of Ozzy's solo career.

I think deep down he wanted to but he’s a very emotional guy and it maybe to new to talk about .He looks like he’s having it hard enough up there with out any ridicule!

@@ImperialmusicfanRandy and Ozzy were tighter than brothers . His death affected his whole family . Randy’s death was hard on Ozzy .Plus he’s having a hard time up there as it is ! No need to throw petty comments!

His performance was a spit in Ozzy’s face and pretty embarrassing. There’s really not much more to say but I’d love to go on. Thankfully Billy Idol took over the other half, he is a legend and if I was Ozzy I’d be thankful an old pal was singing up there for me

Yeah and maybe he should have stayed in the audience. I appreciate what he tried to do, but I think even Ozzy in his current state would have done a better job singing. 😮

Great induction for Ozzy! And some greats joining tribute including Zak, and incredible to see Wolfgang deliver a Randy Rhodes solo in flawless execution was icing on the cake!

I mean, all those singers have voices in a lower register too. Ozzy is a unique singer, but those were the wrong singers to pick for his music too.

Looong overdue to one of the Founding Fathers of our beloved & worshiped Heavy Metal! I saw his concerts Every time he came to Memphis from the 70s to 2000s & I loved them All. Everday I listen to songs from his catalog & always have an Ozzy or Sabbath CD( yes kiddos) on my turntable deck. This man has & always will be the soundtrack of my life. Always there for me whatever I'm going thru good & bad. He deserves Soo much more accalaids for such a lifetime devoted to us misfit metal fans. He is the reason!! LONG LIVE OZZY 4EVER 💜✌
