@@tioposer Yep, he sure was. Although the group that backed OZZY, went through several lineup changes during the history as the OZZY OSBOURNE solo career band, Randy was in Ozzy's band for the long haul, as he drummed his way through the, "The Ultimate Sin" recording and touring cycle. Plus, "The Ultimate Live Ozzy: In Concert" (released on VHS/DVD). "No Rest For The Wicked" recording and touring cycle. Plus, "Just Say OZZY"(released as live EP), "No More Tears" recording and touring cycle. Plus, "Live & Loud" (released on CD/DVD). Also, Randy Castillo performed on the first and second legs of the OZZY "Ozzmosis/Retirement Sucks World Tour".

As mush as I love Jake E. Lee and Brad Gillis, yes I think Ozzy wasn't and couldn't find a guitarist the same level of Randy Rhoades. If the lost sessions with Steve Vai were released then I think Ozzy finally did. Jake was also great. The tiny fills that he did in the songs in the Ultimate Sin album were just unbelievable! And he had the best stage moves of all. Brad was great with Night Ranger. I love his solos BUT I didn't like his solos in Speak of the Devil.

If only the people in this world could see how we're being manipulated by the arm chair warriors . The war pigs. If only we could see that we the people are the same . We love the same music , we love to party. We all want peace. It's those we the people elect that don't want us to know. They want us to hate. Think wee better are different. We're all the same. Running around this world . When what we all need is each other. In peace ✌

I'm here after reading an article about Ozzy's latest surgery due to a fall and what a rough time he's had since then...they had to cut through nerves to perform the surgery so he's got one permanently cold arm...he developed numerous blood clots during recovery...while in the hospital he got the flu which developed into pneumonia (which is a life threatening situation for anyone over the age of 65). Now at home, he's questioning whether he'll ever tour again. Even if he does bow out of any future touring, I'd love to hear some new music. Seriously, some of the best songs he's ever written have been relatively recent, "Life Won't Wait", "Time" and "Running Out Of Time". I got to thinking too, this guy has been around since I was a kid. There is no one out there I listened to as a kid that still makes relevant music today. He's like the soundtrack of my life so far. And reading how close he came to death this last bout, it made me think, I'm pretty sure I will be sincerely heart broken when this guy leaves us.

He plays this wrong. I've had a boner for this riff since it came out. It sounds different. Stud Jake wrote this in a whacky tuning which I sorted through and could almost play. But Zakk is faking it here and you can hear the obvious shortcut in the plain ol' power cord usage.
