LYRICS:
Today I woke up and I hate myself
Death doesn’t answer when I cry for help
No high could save me from the depths of hell
I’ll drown my mind until I’m someone else
Don’t take care of me
Be scared of me
My misery owns me
I don’t wanna be my enemy
My misery owns me now
Under the graveyard
We’re all rotting bones
Everything you are
Can’t take it when you go
I ain’t livin this lie no more
Ain’t livin this lie no more
It's cold in the graveyard
We all die alone
Cover my eyes so I can see it clear
One sip away from everything I fear
Ashes to ashes watch me disappear
Closer to home because the end is near
Don’t take care of me
Be scared of me
My misery owns me
I don’t wanna be my enemy
My misery owns me now
Under the graveyard
We’re all rotting bones
Everything you are
Can’t take it when you go
I ain’t livin this lie no more
Ain’t livin this lie no more
It's cold in the graveyard
We all die alone
I’m waiting for you
Under the graveyard
We’re all rotting bones
Everything you are
Can’t take it when you go
I ain’t livin this lie no more
Ain’t livin this lie no more
It's cold in the graveyard
We all die alone

Andrew Watt on guitar and looks like he's gonna be the guitarist on the new Ozzy album so this should be interesting to hear this song and the Post Malone song are the same backing band and song writers... Nothing against Zakk Wylde he relies too much on the pinch harmonics and on the Randy era stuff it too much... Ozzy hit it on the head when he said he was sounding too much like Black Label Society with Zakk... I wish Ozzy did an album back when Joe Holmes was in the band I think Joe was the closest to the Randy Rhoads era sound he was taught by Randy...

I want an album with HIS band again, and a metal producer, like Kevin Churko. I'm sorry, this is just so watered down for the Prince of Darkness. The guitars are so thinly layered and laid back, and that's never been this man's sound. He's metal as fuck, and this just isn't pleasing his longtime diehard fans too much. Make no mistake, Ozzy still sounds great, the lyrics are solid, and having Chad Smith and Duff Mckagan on the record is awesome. I'm glad he used music to get him back on track, whether I hold it in high regard alongside the rest of his masterful work or not, because he was at a low point and said making this album was very important in finding solid positive progress in his recoveries. With that being said, however, we've waited over ten years for the Ozzman's return, and it's time for some headbanging riffs, shredding solos, and heavy as fuck metal, the kind that only Ozzy can deliver. 🤘

Michael Holmgaard, the only effect he’s probably got on his voice in this track is “pitch correction” and the normative reverb and compression. Tons of reverb in the very beginning, and delay during the chorus, but nothing else, not even any stereo separation of stereo expansion. I play music full time and do studio work for hire, along with producing my own music, and that’s all I hear. There’s not even a hint of distortion or vocal effects on this track. Not hating, just saying... 🙌🏻

Lyrics: Today I woke up and I hate myself, Death doesn't answer when I cry for help No high can save me from the depths of hell, I'll drown my mind until I'm someone else Don't take care of me, be scared of me, My misery owns me I don't wanna be my enemy, My misery owns me now Under the graveyard, we're all rotting bones Oh, oh Everything you are, can't take it when you go Oh, oh I ain't living this lie no more, ain't living this lie no more Oh, oh, It's cold in the graveyard, we all die alone Cover my eyes so I can't see a tear, One sip away from everything I fear Ashes to ashes, watch me disappear, Closer to home because the end is near Don't take care of me, be scared of me, My misery owns me I don't wanna be my enemy, My misery owns me now Under the graveyard, we're all rotting bones Oh, oh Everything you are, can't take it when you go Oh, oh I ain't living this lie no more, ain't living this lie no more Oh, oh It's cold in the graveyard, we all die alone (I'm waiting for death...) (Guitar Solo) Under the graveyard, we're all rotting bones Oh, oh Everything you are, can't take it when you go Oh, oh I ain't living this lie no more, ain't living this lie no more Oh, oh It's cold in the graveyard, we all die alone Oh, oh

@@voodoom5881 not to be too heavy... But my big bro just did that like 5 weeks ago, as he constantly claimed he would. He fucked up young in high school, quit sports and partied eventually getting into pills and he had a hard time coming back. I guess he told my mom he was "just done" a few weeks before it happened. She forced him to handle his shit but his girlfriend just made it worse. He called me about an hour before it happened and seemed just fine, talking about playstation.. Anyway, my mom's friend went to a psychic about 2 weeks after and it was crazy. The things he said, no way he could have been as accurate and personal as he was. I guess my bro felt worse than us, especially my dad. They were pretty good buddies and he still lived at home. He's been showing quite a few signs though lately. Pretty crazy. Big Boi It’s called auto-tune. I myself find it odd that Ozzy would record an album so far from what he could possibly duplicate live. He once said he hated ozzmosis because of that reason, and that was 24 years ago. If you watch videos of him live in 2019, he has lost most of his range. Still a legendary pillar of hard rock, but I don’t want you to be disappointed if you attend the farewell tour. It will definitely not sound like even the last Ozzfest, let alone the 80s

I was born in 1992 and by 2004 I used all of our printer ink by printing all of ozzys album covers so I could hang them in my room. My parents were pissed but I didn't care. I love Ozzy. His voice to me was so captivating. Excited to be listening to this so many years later and still feeling that way. Between Ozzy, Zeppelin, and David Gilmour from Pink Floyd, this is why I became a musician. I don't care if this gets lost in the comments. Beautiful music from exceptional artist. I don’t know why but I think this song is to Ozzy what ‘hurt’ was for Johnny cash. If you listen to the lyrics there is a level of regret, sadness, self loathing and disappointment as well as a level of acceptance that he isn’t going to be around for much longer. This gives us a completely difference view of Ozzy as we usually see him as the old mad rocker without a care in the world, he can do all the drugs he likes and still keeps living. However his song gives us the reality of what he actually feels. The contrasts between the powerful chorus and the mellow verses makes this song a bit of an emotional rollercoaster and a very memorable song, regardless of the supposedly ‘pop influenced’ chorus.
