Ozzy the Weasel, part two.

Having steak for dinner. After getting used to us, it was time to open up the cage and let him run around a little. Within no time, he conquered the table and even got more social, up to a point where he would enter one sleeve of my sweater and exit the other one.

No worries, Ozzy moved to the attic months ago. He will come down to eat and play, but doesn't seem to be interested in going outside except for the roof now and then. Considering he has many chances to go outside and leave, but doesn't, we'll keep on providing him with food and shelter as long as he likes to stay.

I'll give it a go in a couple of days. It's gonna be a bit more work, since Ozzy decided to go live in the attic and only comes down two, maybe three times a day to eat, drink and socialize.

If you take a look at my video 'Playtime with Ozzy the Weasel', you'll see he loves to play. However, he does not like to be picked up, so I don't. Occasionally, he will run up my sleeve or sit in my lap, but that's it.

I don't have a cat, I've got two dogs (and three pigmy goats). The dogs are okay with Ozzy, they know the difference between pets (even though Ozzy is not really a pet) and other animals. They never harmed my guinea pigs either. Thanks for asking though. :)

How could anyone say no to that face? To say he's cute & adorable is an understatement. I know they shouldn't be made pets & Ozzy was an exception but damn. I am so tempted to get one as a kit & train him but I need to get that idea out of my mind. Ozzy is just a pocketsize bundle of energy & if he were mine, I'd take him everywhere I'd go. Brilliant, but wild animals can be unpredictable. My friends budgerigar was ok at first, but then started to eat off my plate. It could have turned really nasty if my friend hadn't told Oscar to behave. Thank god he was there. I could have been killed.
