P-38's handled with grace. Lighting does indeed strike twice when Scharfi and Krupinski are flying the Lightnings. And that maneuver kill and collision at 8:13 😁 Yet another great montage of skill and kills.

How does the P-38 stack up against the G-14, K-4, A-8, and D-9? I've heard people say it's outclassed, but what advantages does it have?

It does have a better sustain turn than any of them, better energy Restoration, it holds its energy way better, it has a very good acceleration, it is equal on terms of topspeed at high altitude and better climb rate than any 190 and similiar to K4, G14, even better at high alt. It really dominates over ANY 190 at high altitude and G14 and kinda equal to K4 at high up. With its airbrake you can avoid overshooting your victim. It is really a underrated plane and one of the best high up and very good down low. BUT you really need decent skill to make it count.
