Forgive my ignorance, but what does "static displays" mean? The only thing I can think of pertaining to static is static line. Wonderful seeing these old planes, they lead the way in many cases. 👍🏻

"Static displays" is a reference to clips of aircraft that are on the ground and not moving. They are very useful to aircraft enthusiasts and model builders because one can see authentic paint schemes, weathering, and fine details pertaining to the machine. Airshowguy916 has quite a few static display clips in addition to the awesome dynamic shots of aircraft in flight. I can't wait for the upcoming SF Fleet Week event featuring the Blue Angels.

@@teeh917 We are blessed to have Airshowguy! His work is amazing. I was lucky enough to see him at the Mather AFB show on Saturday in 2023. I photographed a great number of static planes at that show. They serve as a guide and reference for my model building. I build 1/72, 1/48, and 1-32 aircraft. If I see him again, I'll buy him frosty beverages and a lunch! Sitting in the sun all day on a runway listening to all music and engine noise will turn the toughest tater into a baked tater! @montehugentobler4614 omgoodness I can only imagine. It's wonderful you had a chance to meet each other. There are a couple of KZbinrs that I would really like to meet in person, and Airshowguy is definitely one of them. My son, a disabled infantry vet from OIF, used to put every model airplane he could find together when he was younger. He had so many hanging from his ceiling I had to take his ceiling fan down. Awww, thanks you guys. I did get some great shots at SF from fleetweek. Can't wait to share. I had great shows these past few weeks. So much stuff to share, so little time! lol.
