X2, i want to fly these, thats my dream
@Mike-01234 Жыл бұрын
I remember seeing these for sale in the classified section back of aviation magazines in the 1980s for under 200k. Then through the 90's over 200k went up from there. I don't know what condition those were in. I do remember in the early 2000's seeing Mustangs selling for less than 1 million. I think it was more of a practicality of the aircraft kept cost lower back then a new Cessna 210 could cost you more. Like all aviation the cost to keep them flying is where the real cost is. I do remember talking to a fella who landed a P-51 at an airshow I was at in the early 1980's older guy and his wife climbed out of the thing. He said he flew them in Germany and was a retired airline pilot he bought is in the early 1970's can imagine what he paid for it.

@@Mike-01234 yea, at this time it is pretty hard to find one in working/good condition for under a mil. Well last time I actually took the time to look. With today’s garbage economy, cannot justify even looking these up at the moment lol

I think the Mustang was the best all round allied fighter, range, firepower, manoeuvrability and just damned beautiful. Designed by a German gentleman Edgar Schmued.
@wilburfinnigan21424 ай бұрын
Edgar was a American citizen of German descent, but he did not engineer the Mustang, aeronatical engineers Dutch Kindelberger and Lee Atwood did, Edgar drew up the plans he was NOT and engineer !!! Facts of history not hype or lies !!

Why do old war birds take a little bit to start up?
@wilburfinnigan214210 ай бұрын
mattblackavaiation They crank the engine over so many props to get the engine oil up to pressure so when they hit the ignition and it starts the engine has oil to all parts !!! DUUUUUHH!!!!!!
