She's got some tough gear. Flight was nice, and you brought her in. Nice. (I had a charged SMC battery that failed (no power to fly) this weekend. Batteries are not forever.)

Battery woes aside Philip, my take-home would be that the Mustang flies as well as it did. She's a beautiful bird. Well done with the repairs.

Thanks Gina . I was heartbroken by the crash because i thought it would need a new fuselage for sure and possibly the motor shaft bent , and that wasn't in the budget . Thankfully , with some hot water and a bit of time I got the nose straightened out and the pieces glued back into place . I was worried there had been damage to the motor or ESC , and didn't know i had battery issues till these last two flights . I'm relieved its sorted , a bit late in the season , but ready for next spring . Cheers and Happy Christmas to you Both .

Some good flying - and I'm glad you got her down Ok. Batteries - ? It seems to be a hit or miss thing lately for me. Most of mine are doing Ok. Some 'Liperior' ones are holding up. And I tried some 'CNHL' - some of which are doing fairly well and a few of the same brand still work fine, but they sure have puffed a bit. So - ?

Thanks for the comments and Happy Christmas . I didn't think it had enough in it it to make another go around . Felt lucky I got her down , even thought it was the worst recorded landing in history . LOL Yeah the batteries , I thought these were newer but remebered I ran them in big surface trucks the previous winter . Pretty sure it helped lower life expectancy . Did some power testing with a few better C rated 6S 4000s I have and I went fine. This brand was called Zop Power and I have others from them that have been great , Some of very few batt failures I've had are from big names too , so I don;t know how much it really matters nowadays . TBH . Newer processing and manufacturing techniques are making better quality batteries . Ive tested several 'no name' brands and been really impressed . Puffing is definitely not good but i have many that have lasted for yrs that way and still deliver performance and charge properly . Cheers and Thanks again
