I was wondering why the props were so far off the nose cone. Made me worry I had missed a special prop design. The details of your step by step video explained what I had seen and what to watch for when I start my own tamiya mustang. The added details you provided are a very stunning end product, great job. Thank you for sharing.

Chipping bare aluminum makes no sense???

A couple of notes: make sure all 4 prop blades are lined up correctly, your main gear struts lean in to much + they should angle forward some more. If you study some photos you'll see. 👍

Great build, enjoyed watching the video immensely. Not sure that a natural metal aircraft would chip, painted areas certainly would, just not sure about the rest of the airframe. Definitely looks like it's seen some action. Thanks for sharing.

Aluminium oxidises when exposed to sea air,salt etc......
@maikgockel50612 жыл бұрын
Really fine, but I think with some improvements you can make better models. The Aluminium seems to thick and doesn't have the right mixing ratio. Your surface will be much more better if you thin it more. Next little mistakes are the scratches. Under the Aluminium is what? Right, Aluminium. So if you want to make some scratches, they were not Black. Rest is fine in my opinion and if you try these little tips your next NMF will be better.

Great job! I got the same kit, but no 3-D decals 🙁. Steady fingers, steady... 😆 I got a pilot, though!

Great job on the p 51 , I was quorious what type of brush you were using to do the panel line wash
@ArdeconHobby2 жыл бұрын
Thank you, my friend, I've just used an ordinary fine brush, but before the application makes sure you have sprayed the model with clear gloss, likewise I add a little enamel thinner to liquify a little bit the panel line wash for the purpose that can easily slide on the panel lines.

Mustangs were bare aluminum and Alclad. They weren't painted silver. The chipping here that takes the silver metallic finish down to black is wrong.

Great job on that cockpit! The 3D decals really add a nice touch! Were they made for the Tamiya kit? Have fun

I didn't get any with my kit...

The 3-D decals are from Quinta studios. They make a set especially for the Tamiya kit but interestingly this build uses the late version set made for the Eduard model.

What airbrush are you using? That paint job looks horrible.

using only a cheaper one, maybe it is also the effect of hairspray that I've applied for chipping purposes, thanks my friend for your info really appreciated it.
