i think in canon the todesritter is a pale rider that was captured by zeon and promptly equipped with anything they could find lol so thats why it has all those gimmicks

More like Neo Zeon found a Pale Rider's wreckage and completely rebuilt the suit from the head down. The only Federation tech left in this thing is the HADES system itself.

I'm a fan for sure. Love the hip articulation compared to other HG models, and it's a big kit too, so it has a lot of shelf presence. The one thing it looked like you missed mentioning on this review was that the forearms could pop out giving it more extension and range of motion.

I've built this kit and the only downside to it is that you'll have to paint a loooot to get it accurate to the boxart. Otherwise, it's truly awesome

For a P-Bandai HG kit, and also at that high prices, Bandai should include an option parts/runners for the exhaust/vents. I mean, an option part/runners for HADES/non HADES mode exhaust/vents instead of stickers. I never used stickers in all of my kits, and I painted all my pale riders in HADES mode, so its going to be weird if I switched the visor to green, non-HADES mode.

i dont consider all those shiny gold stickers an issue in the kit, they inlay pretty well, even the ones that fold over edges on the tailskirt, but he shield is definitely an issue for OOB use

I built mine and I hate those stickers so much. The joint of the wing binders are also too easy to fall off. I think I going to start customize the backpack to suit my taste.

Built the Space/Ground/Todesritter kit. I never used stickers in any of my kit built BUT the Pale Riders are a NIGHTMARE when I painted/sprayed it. Why does it not have any yellow runners at all for the chest, leg,groin,skirt exhaust/side thrusters at all? Doesn't deserve to be a P-Bandai in my opinion. Even cheap HG IBO kits have better parts colour seperation than this.

Highly doubt it. I've read on the gundam wiki page the suit is part of the side story trilogy games for the playstation consoles. There's no more reason to make an anime/OVA of this when it's already a video game.

The suit was heavily damaged during the end of the battle the only thing zeon left alone was the black box in the head (contains the HADES system) which they only did minor changes and still retains the Pale Riders iconic face design.

Great review sir! I agree with it being a mixed bag, Honestly instead of the ‘sticker hell’ I am more disappointed with shield. It feels sub-par for a 2020 PB kit... And is it just me or does this and the Pale Riders look feminine? Similar to that of TR-6 variants.

Actually those vents are pretty easy to paint with fine point metallic markers.

I have been enjoying building the various pale riders. It would be nice to see these kit in MG form someday. The details get lost in HG form since Bandai hasn't put a lot of effort into part separation. At least it doesn't look like there are seam lines on the mobile suit.
