I think this review is awesome in the fact that you went ahead and put the stickers on the kit. In the past you haven’t because you wanted to show us a straight out of the box review. And because stickers don’t look good on colored plastic, but these large color correcting stickers needed to be applied ! And I think the overall review looks more polished like this.

@@senpaihentaithehentailord2073 the 3 is mostly a recolor of the RX-78-2. There's a HG of that one called the Beyond Global and they just repainted it with the G-3 colors and market it as a P-Bandai Beyond Global RX-78-3

I’ve actually had the idea, and probably not the first to have this, to make a 1/144 RX-78-2 using GM Custom and GM Type-C parts. It’s body is mostly the same as the GM Custom, really just need to slap a Gundam head and the GM backpack with an extra beam saber and the GM shoulders.

The Ver. Ka. is my favourite design of the RX-78-2. It is really a shame not to have it in 1/144 scale but what is a bigger shame is that the HG Gundam unit 04 & 05 were released as P-Bandai in a time when there are already far too few HGUC releases.

13:13 I remember seeing many moons ago instructions on how to kitbash your own Gundam Ver.Ka from existing HGUCs with minimal modifications (can't find the original post now but I think it used a lot of GM Type C and GM Custom for the main body). Might be cool for a future project idea *wink wink*

And ah yes, the perennial debate over "should I get the MG or HG?" resumes. EDIT: Re: the ammo belt, might another issue be that it's too rigid? The moment I saw it on the runner I suspected it might not be adequately flexible. On the MG, you can mitigate the issue by either omitting belt "chains" or cutting the length of wires a bit longer than the manual tells you to. But the ammo belt being one solid piece... I'm not all that surprised that it's proven difficult to work with.

Is it me, or do P-Bandai kits feel like the exact opposite of "premium" kits? The boxes are plain with only one color, the instruction manuals aren't even in color, and they don't really come with anything that I would say warrants attaching the word "premium." Some are cool, like the Heavyarms Igel, but other than that it's all marketing hype.

The definition of premium has nothing to do with the quality of the stuff Bandai puts on there. It's premium in name and that's kinda where the line ends. It's like how Perfect Grade kits aren't perfect and that's that. It's just a label.

Premium bandai is purely a line for exclusives. Bandai does not advertise them as anything but that.

P-bandai are just bandai online store that sells kits directly to their customers, nothing "Premium"....it's just name. Those kits are not meant to display in the store, that's why most of the box are monotone with CG rendered images.
