When Puff was a young boy I think younger than 8 years old his father was murdered on Christmas Day (in New York) if I'm not mistaken. It was a very well-known event captured on all the news stations at the time. I believe he might have been home at the time when it took place. Either way you're still looking at a young boy who never had the opportunity to be raised by or even know his father but I'm quite sure that the events & the details of what happened were pounded into him in some way by his mother. This in turn only served to sew the seeds of hatred in a young man not able to quite process those emotions.
