In Kilakarai we tried some cool drinks in Kamoodhi paal kadai which was really good. the cool drinks like Rose milk, Jigardhanda, and Paalsarbath. rose milk was good and I also liked Jgardhardha and Paalksarbath. Kilakarai welcomed us with loads of love. I couldn't think about leaving that place. That much love we got from the natives. I also got the chance to visit Old Jumma Masjid which is built by Yemen Emperor during 628 A.D. I got goosebumps when I saw those interior designs. These monuments are the real treasure of our nation.

Irfan this mosque is only 400 years old, 1350 years old mosque is in the other side of the town. This is jumma பள்ளி. The oldest mosque is called as palaiya jumma பள்ளி. It was built by Arab traders who came for trading on those days. That mosque will be in the shore of kilakarai near meen கடை தெரு. Just visit that mosque on your next visit to kilakarai.

There is the Mihrab on the wall like all mosques for identifying the direction of prayer, which is the only proof that it is a mosque. Elaborate carvings are present on the surfaces of the walls of the mosque and lofty beams are also present in the 'pallavasal' of the mosque. The mosque bears a Tamil architectural look, which implies a distinctive architectural pattern.

The kilakarai old jumma palli (which is near men Kasai,which irfan never visited)is one of the top 10 mosques of the world(actually 4 th oldest mosque ever built ) built in 628-630 ad ,the other oldest 10 mosques is in kodungallur,Kerala in 628 a.d both were built in ancient tamizhagam,when not a single Muslim or mosque were in existence in north india,I showed around that mosque to director k.v Anand last year along with the oldest archaic Tamil incricptions,jainars,and people from different castes converted to Islam when there was religious strifes between Jains,and shaivites in 7 th century,attested by the whole village of annavasal below Chintanavasal jain caves are fully Muslim,and piran malai old jain caves are now Muslim shrines,this research validated by Cochin,Madurai university research.

Kilakarai has jumma palli which is more than 450 yers old preceding any mogul rule,and OdaikaRai palli 400 years old ,all these were built by maikayars(marakala rayars) in short lords of the ships till today this town has many ship owners like Eta group and other groups,and their forefathers brought glory to Tamil,and Tamil Nadu by plying ships till New Zealand for business before 800 years much before English discovered Australia,and New Zealand,proof of which now lies in “te papa tongarewa”museum,in Auckland suburb called(Tamil bell) which bears the name “muhaiyyadeen vakkusin kappalin mani” (muhaiyyudeen vakkus ship’s bell),any body can google about Tamil bell.
