This has become the favourite song for my whole life. Every day after standing up and preparing for work I listen to it. Pu Shu, Hua Chen Yu, Xnine, etc....this varies but not that I listen to it....move forward, no matter what life is giving or taking...and live in the moment....

It was a big surprise to see this in my notifications! I found this song not too long after starting to learn Chinese a couple years ago, and it is one of my favorites. I just checked my spotify playlists, and it wasn't even there. Thank you for the translation and for reminding me of this song!

As a Japanese learner I think learning by songs will lose the tones🤣. Tones in Chinese and Japanese are both important

What a great song! Thanks for introducing it to me. I looked it up to see if there was a shorter version since I tend to listen to songs less than 5 mins long if they're sung, and I found the original, which I really like! So thanks! Really pretty/cool scenery in the background too!

I don't think you're into hip hop, but I love Lu1. Conveni, Bonjour & Goodnight, 自己做决定, are amazing tracks. And translators are no good, even for hip hop. So if you wanna give it a try...
I wonder if there's a certain meaning behind the "via via" part
@ABChinese3 жыл бұрын
I looked it up and the general view is that it is the English (Latin) meaning of "traveling through". But I couldn't find any comment from the songwriter so...

First 辛苦你了! This is one of the better translations of Ordinary Path. Let me explain something about “via”. Instead of Latin, I will rely on modern Italian and I will try to be brief. “Andare via” is a verb and means to go away. In short, we also just say “via". "Venire via" is also a verb and means to leave. In this case too, we can briefly say "via" (as in the song Via Con Me, Paolo Conte) ”. In the context of the song Ordinary Path, I am convinced that “via” is used in the sense of leaving, going away. Indeed, in traffic, the term ‘via’ is used in the sense of “traveling through”. For example in English “from Paris to Marseille via Lyon”, in French “de Paris à Marseille via Lyon” and similarly in many other languages. However, in the case of this song, there is no such use of the term "via".

@@sonjam-blue I agree with you, that's the meaning I always gave to via via in this song, via col vento , via as moving along..

Bro your first sentence translated wrong. It should be “Those wondering, those on the path”. It describes two types of persons.
