For a large part of my life, and that's 28 years, she has been my all-time favorite person in The Performing Arts. Not simply because of her artistry, not simply because of her hard work, but because of her never ending, unyielding decency as a woman, as a human being, & as an Ally. To see her maintain her authenticity, ideals solid and resolute, and it's been inspirational.

I remember dancing my ass off to Borderline when loving the song connection to an eighteen year old planning the next phase for her life. You have inspired me to write a song about my father. Thank you for pointing out the importance of women creators! Both you and Madonna have led the way in live performance for other women to design their artistry towards excellence. Pink is a complete fraud... She approached me one day introducing herself as Alicia and she sat next to me I was having an emotional day...
