P&O Azura cruise vlog....#3 Split , Croatia ,

After Bari in Italy we arrived in Split Croatia , one of our favourite countries to visit , but our first time to Split .
We had no excursions booked and decided that we would take the 20 - 30 minute stroll around the harbour into the centre of Split. Fortunately for us the sun was shining and the temperature was perfect .
Its a beautiful city with loads of history , so much so that they filmed part of the TV series Game of Thrones there .
It was great just strolling around and taking in the history of the city , lots of little side streets and alleyways that were just calling out to be explored .
Then it was time for a pit stop , and we enjoyed a cold Beer and a glass of wine in one of the many bars and cafes along the waterfront .
After a bit more exploring it was time to get back to the ship and enjoy a bit of relaxation in one of the Hot tubs.
That evening , after dinner in the main restaurant we headed to the theatre to see an all girl harmony band named Magnolia Road .A dutch female group who played mostly country songs. We felt that they sounded better as a group rather than when they sang individually , but still an enjoyable performance .
We then enjoyed a few more songs from the onboard busker in the atrium before heading to bed and looking forward to our next port of call . Kotor in Montenegro .

Greetings Pearl and Brian. Binge watching now. Never been to Split only to Dubrovnik twice on cruises. Split is well famed for youth party life. Well suited for you both. I love the challenge by Pearl re Ice Cream or Drinks "You Got More Than Me". I think the young people know where the party is.

Lovely place just to sit and people watch. We have been to Dubrovnik on holiday, it is starting to get a lot more expensive now . Ice cream or drinks that is definitely Pearl .👋

Amazing episode, you showed off Split to perfection (Croatian tourist board would be proud). It’s a gorgeous port to explore and the buildings are incredible. It’s got to be the port we have loved the most whilst having no comprehension of what was there and were blown away by how beautiful it was and how much there is to see within walking distance of the ship. Although we did miss the ‘big geezer’ statue that you came across, we will look out for that one next time and that roof top bar looked great. Can’t wait for Kotor 🤩 Have a great week ahead 🔥

Thanks Guys , we had seen other vlogs so we more or less knew what to expect. As we said the ship was originally going to Dubrovnik, so it was great that the itinerary changed, we have been a couple of times to Dubrovnik. Split was fantastic, the architecture and history was amazing, not to forget the weather and the bars . Your right everything is so close from where the ship docks . This was fun. Wishh we had that kind of weather. It is very hot here. We will have at least 35 or above this next few days. I really enjoyed the split. Seeing the clothese hanging, and all the beautiful buildings. I've never watched Game of Thrones. Your entertainment for the evening was fabulous! I really like listening to that young man. Thanks Sarah Split was great one of our favourite places . All depends on currency, we had some euros so we used them , and I use my Chase account on my phone. As they don’t charge a conversion fee .
