Our first short cruise! It was full on and so much fun. We highly recommend both short and long cruises. Every ship is different and you can have as much fun as you choose. I think they had about 4-6. There was a show every night but it was totally packed - so get there early for a seat!

We just did the comedy crusie and all I can say i agree i was packed every where we went to but I think too it was because it was school holidays and a weekend maybe why more people we did a 4 nighter and it was not that packed but that was in the week and no weekend! They still have the waiters entertain you every night on carnival.

School holidays and weekends make it that little bit more hectic - I agree! Yes, the waiters on Carnival do 'Show Time' every night. :D

Great video. You answered so many of the questions I’ve had about this cruise. We are doing this same cruise on the 21st. Do many people dress up? Looked like most people were very casual.

Thank you! 😃You'll have a great time - so much to do! At the restaurants each evening most people went smart casual. Most guys wore long pants and a button up or polo. Women anything really. It used to be that everyone dressed up for dinner - but not so much on this cruise.

There’s no drink package for Aussie speciality cruises like melb cup…so it was expensive for an 8 day cruise where we had to buy our drinks ..i bought less than what i would normally get. The 3 restaurants idea I don’t like because we never got to really know as we moved every night. I loved the hospitality of the same dinner crew and could reward them as we saw fit. It was more difficult this way.

That's true. On an 8 day cruise they should have the package option and you definitely did get to know the wait staff better back in the day.

Yes, the line for breakfast in the morning is annoying, but the wait is usually not long. There is also breaky being served in the Pantry and that is a lot quicker but lower quality.

Hi deb and al the cruise looked good is there no drink packages on the short cruises if so how much are beers

Unfortunately on the 3 night cruise we couldn't get a package. The price for beer is between $8.50-$10.00. VB $8.50, Great Northern and Coopers $9.00, Crown, Carlton Dry, Bulmer's Cider and Pure Blonde $9.25, Sapporo & 4 Pines $9.50, Peroni $9.75 and Asahi was $10.00

They have had the 3 free restaurants for years now, the menus rotate in the free restaurants on longer cruises. Each restaurant has its own theme and decor, creating different vibes.
