Packing for a Healthy Trip 💕 … Great advice. Thanks for the Tips ka Doctor Tany! A travel medicine kit isn’t many people’s priority when it comes to packing for travel. Well, until you n e e d it abroad! These days you just never know what might happen, so the most important thing of all is to have good travel insurance for the trip. Besides the “must-have” prescription medications, the travel medicine kit is more of a safety net for minor illnesses that can be self-managed until you can seek medical help. Apart from the usual OTCs (for fever/pain, nausea/vomiting/diarrhea, allergies, motion sickness, decongestant, oral rehydration salts, etc.), I also like to be equipped to deal with cuts and bruises. So, 1% Hydrocortisone Cream, antibacterial/antifungal ointments, antiseptic wound cleaner, topicals for insect bite, bandages, cotton swabs, and tweezers. My SIL is a little more cautious than I am. She even packs a mini survival kit and carries a pocket tourniquet! Between the two of us, I think we’re a little overprepared. Lol One thing for sure, as you suggested, is NOT putting everything in ONE location. Portion them out and put some in your carry-on luggage. I made this mistake myself years ago. Never again. … Last but not least, have a LIST of all your prescription medicines (in generic names) with its dosing schedule handy-either in paper form or in your phone. … Happy TraveL!!! ✈️🚘🥾💊🚞🚢
