Use one litter water bottle ,put holes in the bottom to dispense water and a hole on the cap to insert micro tube to let in water.Drill 6 inches dia one ft depth hole, 5 ft away from tree and fill the hole with coconut husk ,immerse the one litter bottle and water it through micro tube fitted on top of the bottle.

A 1.5feet pipe with 2 mm holes can do the same work. but to put holes is a problem. the feed pipe is good , but cost could be a issue if had to go for bulk. while putting manure this method won't work. also a tree spreads its roots in all directions. so many of the nutrients you send in this method will go waste. always water goes down due to gravity. so when you insert this 1.5 feet down you are further sending it faster. the feed pipe holes will not send the water fast and hence the water will overflow defeating the whole idea. Not sure how this would be a practical solution. All the best

Hello Mr Rajesh, Your thoughts are valid and I had the same doubts, As I have discussed with TNAU agritech dept officials about this it's a proven irrigation system for better water management and better yield as it's been monitored and compared with both regular drip vs deep drip It's recommended to keep 4 pips around the tree and also the water flows sideways not downway in this Will publish a video soon from TNAU department about this deep drip technology and more practical implementation Have a great day

Deep root irrigation. This is costly . Just put 2 inch pipe . 2.5 feet tube .insert only 2 feet pipe . Dig a hole near the tree , put some Coco peat and insert it. Enough .

Too expensive simple PVC pipe can me use with holes. Holes can be made by drilling or with heated steel wire. I have done this for some tress in my home two years ago. His pipe has sharp tip to drive it into the ground. For ordinary pipe buy a manual auger ( may cost about 500 rupees), drill holes and drive the pipes. This way we can save lot of money.

This is wrong... when you water at ground level water will go down by gravity.. to it will some time let us ssy 30 mins for 1 feet. In this 30 mins, all roots will observ water most and it go down still & down and roots will still observ so there are lot of time for taking water... if you place water @ 1 feet 30 mins time will be lost and trees can not take more water... so logically NOT correct approach I feel. Insred you can think of method to control evaporation.... like mulching.. You can disprove this... If roots needs air it can grow above the ground by nature.. roots are designed to be inside ground .. every one knows how deep palm tree roots can penetrate...I dint expect this from NV channel

Ur basic science is wrong. Water won't take 30 mins to go down 1 feet. And the deep drip has multiple outlets at multiple heights so root not getting water isn't a problem.
