It is always risky to assume H_1 is bigger or greater. Generally speaking you need strong arguments on one side inequality. Usually better way is to wet H_1 just inequal to a certain value. Thank you for clear explanation.

From what I understand in this example, the P value is "the probability that the population mean is 20oz (from the null hypothesis) given that we observed a sample mean of 22oz. And since the P value is 0.13% (lower than 5%) we can reject the null hypothesis" - is this correct? I am however, confused at 3:30 in the video. Why is the sample mean given to be GREATER or equal to 22oz, rather than just equal to, which we observed as the sample mean? I'm assuming that is coming from the alternative hypothesis (H1)?
