Greeting from 4,000 plus Km away here in S.W. Ontario. Really enjoy the 2 of you out wheeling in the snow. Around here 5 cm of snow means a weather warning. Interesting the difference in short and long wheel bases. Yeah, Bruce has BIG rubber.
@DennyOfTheAlpineАй бұрын
@@richardguse3410 where about in S.O? I was originally from KW. I had a TJ, and it was tough with short wheelbase. The LJ is much better. His JK is that much better than my LJ.
@richardguse3410Ай бұрын
@@DennyOfTheAlpine The same KW. Yeah, I was referring to Bruce's video and your TJ. I'm not a Jeep guy (also 78 years) but always liked the LJ after an outing with an experienced driver. Am I correct your's will have the 4.0 inline six?
@DennyOfTheAlpineАй бұрын
@ ya, the LJ is a 4L. My previous TJ was the old 2.5. That 2.5 was a tank, but a slow one. 😆. I rebuilt it myself, with performance parts. So I didn’t mind making it sing for it’s supper.
@richardguse3410Ай бұрын
@@DennyOfTheAlpine Interesting to me because the 2.5 and 4.0 were the only Jeep engines I had any driving experience with. Now we have a 2017 Z71 Tahoe.
@DennyOfTheAlpineАй бұрын
@ to be honest, I didn’t believe I was missing out on much power from a 4L with my fresh built 2.5. I was wrong. The 4L makes big tires so much easier. I also now have a JK, with the 3.6 for a summer Jeep. That has lots of power for me and 35’s.

@DennyOfTheAlpine I enjoy the long videos. I don't get out to the mountains anymore so finding yours & Bruce's channels helps scratch the itch of being out there lol I love living in the Okanagan so was cool finding videos from the area, plus other BC mountains I've yet to have the chance go exploring
@DennyOfTheAlpineАй бұрын
@ i understand. I try to not cut them as much as real KZbinrs for that reason. They have to keep watch time up, and have so many metrics to try to hit, just to stay relevant. For me, I’m not at all relevant, and that probably won’t change. So I e always just tried to make them for people I know who won’t get to do it often. The same idea as what I usually watch myself, which is offbeat travel videos in places I know I will never visit. Like the mountains in India, Pakistan,or Russia. We’re so lucky to be able to watch these in HD. Heck, all my content is 4K, and I pay to keep this channel going. It’s a heck of a time to be alive for HD travel. 😆
@SharG420Ай бұрын
@DennyOfTheAlpine well it's very much appreciated. I love anything to do with nature & exploring, since I can't do it myself I enjoy watching other people's videos
@DennyOfTheAlpineАй бұрын
@ that’s what drives me to keep making vids. I’ve lost so many people, and seen so many around me lose abilities. I’ve also had my abilities drawn back drastically in recent years, paying for many injuries doing extreme sports, and hard work all my life. Some day I won’t be able to do this anymore, and I keep that in mind. I’m very blessed, and want to share that a bit. I have a lot more vids to make, as I’m running out of space to store the vids. Also at least one more for the Mexico trip. Just takes so long to edit and load these 4K vids. The last one was 40 GB…. See you next time, I should do some editing. 😆

Another "Banger!" LJ!!! I rewond the video multiple times to try catch bruce's eyebrows lol. Footage of you saving his drone would have been sweet. Who is in the silver 4 door? Those "rush hour" drivers always honking & being aggressive........ and 1 more ?, are your LJ and Bruce's jeep closely matched capabilities wise?
@DennyOfTheAlpineАй бұрын
@@kb_701 thanks you. The eyebrows I saw in the driver side mirror. He does it when he’s about to push his luck. 😆 Bruce may have footage of the drone recovery in his vid, coming probably next. The silver JL Rubi is our friend Sharon. His jeep is definitely more capable, as well as his skill level to make it work for him. I thought our Jeeps were closer capability wise, but he went and smashed that thought on our recent jeep YJ roll over rescue. That video will be pretty soon as well on his channel. Thanks for watching

@DennyOfTheAlpine I'm just guessing, but I think his precise throttle control with his hand control is a huge advantage applying just the right amount of torque.

@ it’s very likely. He has mention how much more tactile ability the hand has over the feet.
