This is the EXACT video I was looking for. Straight to the point, and you “over” explain for those who are not mechanically inclined. I plan on using your video to fix my Cylinder 2 misfire this week. Thanks for the tutorial’

I was getting a Po203. #3 cylinder injector Miss fire. Jeep was running rough no power. Shop wanted to charge me $610 to replace injector.😂 I fixed it with a bottle of Lucas high mileage injector cleaner in a couple of hour's.😅 Thank God! Update : didn't work. Replaced all injectors with 4 hole, now getting po172-po175 oxy sensors 1&2. I think it might be the fuel pressure regulator. 🤞

The Di-electric grease is recommended by many mechanics to be applied to the intake sensor plugs to keep the water out too. When the pins are wet, dirty, oily and/or loose, they will cause the ECU to throw codes that look like coils or spark plugs, misfires and rough idle. Water flows down the windshield and dumps onto the intake sensors when the rubber dam fails or gets bent open, and the intermittent connection can cause the sensors to fail. One guy replaced the IAC 3x before discovering the connection between the water and the codes. The di-electric grease should be applied to all the sensor plugs IMO, what do you think? Good video.

Thanks and you are right. However newer connectors have rubber connector seals to prevent water, dust and debris.

What if I followed the exact same coil swap, but after unplugging number 2 the engine sounded the same. It was only when unplugging #4 the engine sounded different. Please help?

I would just go ahead and replace everything under the intake manifold plugs, coils, injectors, EGR valve, PCV valve, gaskets lower intake, as I found out parts only last about two years my 96 ranger super cab xlt was better

I have a 2011 Corolla 325,000 miles. Got a code p302 . I switched the plugs from #2 to #4 and still got code on #2. I disconnected All 4 plugs and every time the car felt like it was gonna turn off. I switched the spark plugs. Was good for few miles and then got same code. Could it be something internally?? It’s Sunday all shops are closed near me

i have p0300, p0302, p0303, and p0304 guess thats cylinders 2, 3 ,and 4 ....also the check engine light is on and saw it blinking flashing too..do any one know whats wrong with my car ? lol i give up on it already but imma take it to the shop soon... to me im thinking leaking engine valve cover gasket since when i took the sparl plugs out it was oil down on the spark plugs.. will that cause mifires when wet ? im sure it will...since it wont spark with oil on the plugs...maybe fuel injectors too or fuel pump or fuel filter lol.. its stressing me out yall and the engine is running rough and shaky lols.. i dunno what to do any more lols. any advice will help thanks !
@jat-justamaturetech-philpj8285 Жыл бұрын
Yup! Change the valve cover gasket and clean the plugs or replace them. Clean up all visible oil from wires ECT. Add a bottle of injector cleaner to be safe.

@@jat-justamaturetech-philpj8285 sup took my car to the shop after i replace all those parts at the shop, it was none of the stuff i replaced lols.. the misfires i had was due to burnt valve so i gotta get the whole block replace with new intake valves now which is costly.. some times these misfires can be any thing !!! can be easy fix or very expensive repairs, unfortunantly my was the expensive one gonna get the valves replace this week !

I have the same car and I got the same code but when I unplugged the ignition coil instead of the engine sounding the same it sounded different and when I plugged the ignition coil back in it sounded normal. What could the issue be since I'm still getting the same error code?
@revosgarage9326 Жыл бұрын
intermittent misfire or your checking the wrong cylinder.
@christianromero460 Жыл бұрын
@@revosgarage9326 so would changing the ignition coil fix the issue ?

I would. Coil and spark plug. At the very least, it's the less expensive repair.
