P11CB code cleared

Try this before replacing your nox sensor on your Duramax.

It did work. Then I got another code about a month later. The nox sensor was again dirty. Did some more digging and found out my egr valve was stuck, only working partially. Replaced egr and have not gotten any further codes. 👍🏻

I’m having similar issues but still trying to figure it out. How did you learn that your egr valve was stuck?

U can reset the code with any obd2 connector

It's not a, "nitrous oxide" sensor. It's a Nitrogen Oxide sensor. Or a sensor for detecting oxides of nitrogen. HUGE difference! HUGE difference.

I'm having the same code issue with my 2013 chevy silverado 2500HD 6.6L LML Duramax. The dealer put in a new sensor and 200 miles later same check engine light, same code. I'm going to harbor freight in the morning to get the sensor removal tool to pull the sensor out and clean it and reinstall and see what happens. I've got the Superchips dash pag diesel tuner so I can clear the code, that turns off the check engine light but 50 miles later it comes right back on. I'm hoping for success.

I ended up deleting the truck in the end. Full delete, egr, def, and wherli custom fab bridge kit. I can't remember which tuner I bought after but the truck ran great, no more issues. Obviously, it may not be an option for you if you have to smog...just have to keep chasing sensor codes. I sold the truck about two years ago, now in a 2020 3500 Dmax. The new L5P with Allison 10 speed is amazing....good luck!

@HotRox Wildland Valve Right on. It's impossible to delete these Trucks now it seems. Everyone I reach out to tells me no one is doing it anymore. I pulled the upstream knock sensor and it was black. Cleaned it up and stuffed it back in. I'll see how it goes.

@@waynejohnson3388 tough to find anyone doing them cuz it’s basically illegal except for “off road use”. I did my own, wc fab full bridge kit, 4” turbo back exhaust, mini max tuner. DIY for about $4k in parts. Seems like a lot but the truck ran amazing when all done. I can send you a few videos if it helps, feel free to PM me.

Any update?? Did it work using my he brake cleaner or you ending replacing it !!!?

Attention viewers: Three things. 1) NEVER use Brake Cleaner on an oxygen sensor. 2) NEVER touch the sensor end with your hands. The oils from your fingers shorten it's life and can cause it is read slightly off. 3) NEVER ever put "grease" on the threads of an oxygen sensor. The petroleum in the grease will heat up and work it's way down the threads and can potentially ruin your sensor.
