P1656 stubborn code -variable valve timing vvti solenoid. Intermittent check engine light.

The vvti solenoid on the car tested ok with a ohm meter and moved ok when voltage was applied. Oil system and screen filter are clean. The code comes back after clearing and is intermittent. the fix is in the pcm/ecu. this engine 1zz-fe is found on JDM toyota and a number of american cars of different brands including corolla camry, scion
