Hahahahaha! You know, I had a premonition you were about to release another Vid just yesterday! I’ve always believed we’re all interconnected and interdependent anyway so I wasn’t that shocked to see the notification. Great cabin Justin, great place to escape too, man those grizzlies are huge! I watch “Itchy Boots” too, and after watching her for a while it suddenly dawned on me that I’d met her in New Zealand! Pre bike days. In a car park at a little church at Lake Tekapo a few years back now, crazy, but something made me remember her for more than just a fellow traveler. Life’s a trip isn’t it!

Got my wife to watch the two videos since we recently went to Alaska. She’s not a motorcycle person, but loved the scenery. She only had one question about the cabin. WHERE’S THE BATHROOM. Typical non- camping woman. But I told her that I would ask. Thx

Ha! Glad you both watched. Always a little something for everyone in my videos. Well, I aim for that at least. In the end it's just the story as it unfolds. There was an outhouse to the left of the cabin. I did point it out and talk about it originally. Edited it out. Too much talking. You see it briefly before I show the solar panel and water tank.

@enceetee26454 жыл бұрын
KARMAkaze Moto 4500rpm at 100kmh instead of 5000rpm. No discernible drop in acceleration or low-down pulling power. Still averaging 31km/litre fuel consumption. I also added a K&N air filter, Lextech muffler (6kg weight saving) and a PowerCommander ECU. In standard trim the fuelling was appalling. Hunted on overrun, and stalled on a closed throttle. Brilliant now, and even delivers a slight push in the back on acceleration. PS: Your videos, and those from Itchyboots, were the deciding factors in my purchase of a BS4. Keep up the good work. Cheers from Australia.

KARMAkaze Moto Yep, it’s where I want it to be now. Major step change from a Moto Guzzi Norge 1200 GT, but I am enjoying the offroad capability. Great video Justin, the cabin rustic almost all local supplies to build it with a touch of Tech the bluetooth speaker setup was a good choice , simply no messing about with externals ,I am doing this with my garage/Man-cave this summer just like spending time working on my vehicles, I have been a Itchy Boots fan almost from the start and have seen every season 2 video and now almost every season 1, she will get to Alaska in the future to meet up with you and do some of the best riding in North America and sure you will show her lots of great spots, your trail cam picked up your muscle bound neighbour wandering around and his food entourage only a day behind him lucky them, My friend is in charge of animal control/wildlife from where he lives in Thompson Manitoba to Hudson Bay , a very large area and he told me about a mother moose with 2 rather large calves wandered into Thompson and the 3 of them bed down in someones back yard who were away on holidays and a Grizzly he guessed picked up the scent trail and found them and killed one calf and came back a day later and killed the 2nd, just crazy, so i can see why you are always alert and carry the necessities at all times, i know it takes a large Calibre and a steady hand to take down a Grizzly or Kodiak , my buddy hunts black bear here in Manitoba and uses a 308 , he says he tries his best never to shoot a sow with cubs, tries to hunt the males he says, i was glad to see the notification , you finally came up for air as they say, cheers 👍

Nice cabin that you built. This 32 minute video only seemed to take 5 minutes to watch. That was a cool tough having that welcome sign with your name on it at the end. Couple of questions. @KARMAkazeMoto4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Craig! Not much to complain about with the Himalayan other than the stock battery draining really fast when parked. Swapped it out for a lithium. Made a video on that. And I did experience stalling at stops until I disconnected the EVAP return hose from the intake. Common issue and easily solved. Other than that all's well despite riding it fairly hard early on. Didn't weigh my gear, but rode with a 150lb passenger for 160 miles on gravel highway with some hills and it did really well. We were pleasantly surprised. Glad the 32 minutes flew by! Your cabin is very impressive, even more so that it is out in the middle of the boonies. Like the game camera. Is your cabin on your property or a piece of property that nobody could get to or care about? What is with the part of the road that had wooden boards laid in tire tracks, but other parts of the road had no boards. I can think of a 100 questions about your cabin and the area that it is in but those will have to wait. As always this is a great start to your video series.

Hi Justin. Long wait between videos but worth it. Thank you. Really disappointed that my Alaskan holiday this September has been postponed due to Covid-19. Stay safe. From Queensland Australia 🇦🇺🦘👍🇦🇺🏍️

That is such a disappointment. I hope you're getting things sorted out for a redo. Glad you liked the video. Cheers from the cabin!

Hi Justin, your videos are really good. Your cabin is great, and the wildlife from your gamecam is really interesting. My family (and me) loved the bears and other animals. Thank you for all the work that you put into making these videos. Regards from the land downunder.

Nice to see you back young fella. I too love the idea of the cabin especially some of the visitors. Dunno about the bears though, id be up for clean undies...lol. So how did you go with the Coroney Baloney? Hopefully you were back home before it all went to shit. Looking forward to the continuing mission.

Glad to be back. Needed to focus on business for a while. Actually I spent a ton of time at the cabin during much of the initial pandemic spread. In fact, logged over 3 months out here (Dee and I are here now) this winter and early spring. Was excellent! Hoped you faired well!

Those moose were sweet..bottle tops collection unique, are you going to add Corona Beer tops? 🍻

Thanks! Watch the bottle caps section again. There are some Coronas in there. Maybe you can't see them well, but I definitely said it. 😉🍻 Cheers from Alaska!

awesome video Justin-Thank you for showing us your splendid cabin-well done you! Great live cam in the woods footage of the bear's & the Moose etc. I suspect they knew something was different however they didn't interpret it as a threat.

That’s a cool trip. I was lucky to visit that far north one time. I worked on a radar up in utqiavik a while back. Would love to do a motorcycle trip around Alaska someday

Awesome cabin Justin. The bear and the moose wow. Consider maybe to buy a silent ptz cam. With remote control. That will be amazing. You really invested a lot of work. Impressive. By the way where is the lady D? Have fun see you.

The next part is almost totally complete. However, on the spur of the moment we bought a new home and in the middle of renovations now. Everything's a mess. I'll try to get it wrapped up for next weekend. 🤞

Great to see you back. Locked down here so seeing your latest trip is very much appreciated. Love the cabin, don't know if I could live with the wildlife - I think midgies are the biggest beasties I want to come across 😁

Thanks! I don't blame you. I had a face-to-face with a sow and three cubs not long ago, and the situation went smoothly. But wow, it is no joke. People need to be in the right mindset out there. I find myself constantly listening, looking around before I walk off the deck, carrying the bear spray, etc. It's not for everyone. Oddly, the mosquitoes out there aren't too bad. Go figure.

Hey Justin! So great to see you again. Your cabin looks fantastic and so much wildlife around. How about mosquitos? How much does your gear weigh on the back and in the saddlebags? Can't wait to see more video!

Thanks Ron! Oddly the mosquitoes aren't too bad. Just something strange about that particular area. As for the bike weight... I never did get it all weight. Maybe I can pull it all together and find out for the next trip.

Very cool Justin. Was wondering when we were going to get to see more. My new Himmy is anxious to hit the road, but since any riding for me requires crossing into Canada (I'm in Skagway), looks like my adventures will have to wait till next year. It'll give me some time to get my bike sorted out. Right now I have a battery drain that I can't figure out. Totally stock bike with no accessories, so I don't know what gives... I'm stumped. Great job on the cabin. You're making me miss my old stomping grounds back when I lived and worked in Denali 23 years ago. I haven't seen "Glitter Gulch" in a long time. Alot more people than I remember. But that pizza place is still there, even though it goes by a different name now (used to be called "Lynx Creek Pizza").
@KARMAkazeMoto4 жыл бұрын
Nice to see that you're plans paid off and you got that bike. I saw my first one here in Eagle River a couple days ago. On one hand I was glad, and on the other I was a bit dissapointed to not be special anymore. 😃 Did you watch my battery video. I had a trouble with that too, eventually. Maybe that video will help a little. I determined that biggest problem was the battery itself. Lynx Creek Pizza is still there across the highway. 🍕
@mikek22184 жыл бұрын
@@KARMAkazeMoto I did watch your video and I got exactly the same Antigravity battery you did. But it died in the Himmy, and the "restart" feature did not have enough juice to turn it over. I'm actually getting ready to return it. The voltage drops down to 5.0 volts (not supposed to get below 10.0 before the BMS kicks in). So with only 5 volts, it's just not enough to turn it over. It was a big fail for me. I'm back to an old-school AGM battery, but that is losing voltage as well. Scratching my head...

Been a long wait but well worth it. Great stuff. When i look at what you can do, where you can go and how you can do it and compare with what i cant do in restricted over populated england i may as well be looking at adventures on a different planet. Anyway rant over, from a fellow himmy owner. Keep safe and keep em coming.

Hope you're safe and in good spirits my adventurous friend. Winter is coming, snowladen roads. I assume no biking. Adventures will be via 4x4 or 6x6. Good luck at work, tc
