Dirk, It's not worth trying to fix, I've been dealing with this same problem on my kids heep compas for longer than I'd like to admit. I talked with someone at our local heep dealership and he told me that they just replace the whole intake manifold and that takes care of the problem. I've cleaned mine and I've replaced the solenoid that controls it and it only lasted a week or so before the problem came back. The intake manifold from a heep dealer costs about $400.00 bucks give or take and come with everything attached and it looks pretty straight forward to install if you take your time. Personally I think it's a horrible design and chrysler/heep should be made to stand behind it. I was told that over time the intake goes bad from the heat because it is made of plastic and once it goes bad ( I assume it warps ) there is literally no fixing it. Rockauto sells the intake for about $100.00 buck less if you want to try that route, I'll be finding out in a few weeks if it will fix the problem. heeps (especially the compas) have a lot of electrical issues especially if they are driven in places where a lot of salt is used in the winter, I've spent literally hundreds having wires traced and repaired on it also. I'd scrap the pos if we didn't have so much money in it and with a check engine light on it is not even worth trying to trade in. The heep is an 09 and 2 years ago the whole engine cradle had to be replaced because it rottedout completely making the vehicle unsafe to drive. I've rambled enough, good luck.

Question. Is a P2004 the same replacement as a p2017? So if I replace the intake manifold would it fix these two codes I get on my Dodge Avenger 2009?

Was there a misfire in any of the cylinders I have changed everything besides that and I still have a misfire in #3 please help

Sorry, I didn’t do the work myself but just wanted to share what it looked like disassembled being that there was literally zero videos out at the time on this subject.
