The personal set for orc sims almost 100 dps higher than the one in the vid with Skyweaver Vestments/T9.5 legs and a Firestorm Band instead of T9.5/Deepening Void pants and 258 ring.

There is an offhand with spirit called chalice of searing light you can use if you get blade of tarasque to cut back on some hit. I definitely like living flame above dying curse if not just for the fact that DC procs off of life tap and its super annoying.

You can run Mortalis or Barb. If Barb you can run a non-hit Offhand with some hit gems instead.

My man, help me understand something? For me, now, it seems that the Personal DPS gear will provide a bigger Demonic Pact, let's see: If we consider that the Glyph of Life Tap will give you 20% of your spirit, 20% of the Spirit of Support is equal to 213 of Spell Power, adding to his base Spell Power of 2899, we have a total of 3,112, that is a buff of 311 base DP. In Personal, you have 174.6 of Spell Power from the Glyph plus 3027 from the gear, that is, 3,201.6 of Spell Power, and consequently a Demonic Pact of 320 base, that is, 9 Spell Power greater than the support . I don't see where the support gear you prepared is better, with the exception of Living Flame. Can you help me find what I'm not understanding? Why not use the Living Flame on the DPS gear and wait for the Flare buff to use it, I understand that there will be more Hit, but a slight adjustment in the off hand and in the Legs would solve it, wouldn't it?

I just simmed them both, the personal DPS demo simmed ~250 dps higher with a -20 demonic pact than the support set. Some people don't want to play around the Demonic pact buff and just hit whatever they want and that is who the personal DPS set is made for.

Im in the same camp as Pummel, I prefer Living Flame because you can control it. I also play Orc and stack it with Blood Fury and a Wild Vine pre-pot giving a pretty solid buff that you have complete control over.

@@seanynee you're right wild vine is not I meant. Wild Magic is what you want to use. It gives you the magic sp buff that all demo's should be using pre-pot. Xennial problems of course, Im approaching the age where you mix up names.

If I was support demo this tier I would run Living Flame, some people hate it though, wanted to give some other options. For the gems I was purely talking about the sim showing the blue vs epic quality is showing more dps than just socketing a red in the +5 SP blue slots.

@@ItsPummel Then you likely did not sim it with all the buffs or the sim is not assuming 100% life tap buff uptime, It's pretty easy to check as you get 30% SP from Spirit from Life Tap, 20% extra from the glyph, 9% from fel armor, and the rest added from blessing of kings. socketing for a blue right now would be 14SP and 8 spirit, spirit unbuffed being 0,59SP x 8, would be 4,72 spellpower for a non human , add this with kings and you get an extra 0,472 from just the spirit portion which is higher than 19SP without a bonus all added up, given we're only barely talking a 1 SP increase I suppose it does add up if you wanna minmax everything Epic gems will make this a no-brainer though (and it kind of always was a no-brainer for humans) - the real question is why none of the content creators are making lists based around +40 hit (and perhaps suppression as a talent) food which is substantially better than +48SP in terms of raw value. I'm assuming it has to do with dying and losing the hitcap but I have literally not heard anyone address this yet

@@ItsPummel And yeah, there certainly is an argument to be made for living flame, it syncs fairly well with metamorph after all (2.1 min CD and a 2 min CD trinket) I just found it funny you wanted to create the biggest pact possible and then advocated for the lower spellpower trinket is all, aslong as people don't use passive SP trinkets (or god forbid, trinkets without any SP at all) they're doing it right. (pro tip, Pandoras Plea is low key pretty good if you have an abundance of hit)

@@jamiekaspers5769 The first demonic pact is typically the largest so getting a guaranteed living flame vs DC seemed more ideal for my game play. The hit also made itemization easier. If you use the hit food like you previously mentioned then there's not really a need since the living flame vs DC is about 40 hit difference anyways.
