I'm sure you're a great shot, but you are also a great teacher, which is the real point here. Be proud of that.

My only regret in buying my P320 was getting it early and not waiting until they started coming with the slide pre-cut for an optic.

That's awesome man whatever works for you I do exact opposite I always keep my eye on the Target or threat and use my peripheral vision for my reload

I started that way too. Both work great when you can take your time but I'd have to agree with majority of trainers "seeing the mag in" for a split second is definitely faster and more reliable, especially under stress...and definitely without a magwell present as is the case with most duty and carry pistols. Reality is well practiced people fumble reloads regularly with timer-stress, let alone threat-stress, where it gets worse. Seeing it in cuts down on fumbles and gets gun back in action. This is why all top level guys and gals do it now, from folks on tac teams to competitors, with few deviations.

Good tips, but why did that mag sound like it was made of glass when it landed at 0:32? Lol (btw yeah it's the brass but still)

Great tips, well presented thank you. Idea: save two wasted motions. If your hands are large enough it works. For me at 6'6" I cradle a second full mag between my hand and the right side of my weapon's side grip plate (I shoot lefty). I maintain support pressure on my weaoon opposing the hand that holds It. In the moment the weapon goes empty, I remove finger from trigger guard, rotate weapon in hand enough to trip mag release, and since I hold a fresh mag at the gun level, I check it's top rounds are in correct alignment, slide the mag into the grip, firmly click it in place and release the slide open lever. I've saved reaching down, coming back up, and I'm ready just a bit quicker than my match opponents. Being retired from police work, I can say, I never needed this technique on the street. I worked back when "dinosaurs" roamed the planet, and we carried wheelguns. And I had speed loaders that were shaped rather inconveniently for this idea. My hands have no problem with a single or double stack mag. Just my $2.00 worth. (Inflation!) I hope you may be able to see if it will be worth trying. I practice this with a pair of empty mags and an empty (check three times) weapon. It might work for you, you my be able to get good use out of the idea. Thanks for a fine video.

One of the wasted motions is to bring the gun up in front of your face Ken hackathorn teaches this too and I think it's the stupidest thing I've ever seen I have seen cook-offs I do shoot around 15 hundred too 2 thousand rounds a day

Instead of power stroking the slide, hit the release and get on target faster.

@@Inhalingmustardbread I was comparing your experience to Max's, not my own, since it was Max you were criticizing and not me. great argument though. I'm sure with your coaching Max will become even better than you are.
