I am eighty now. When I was 60 or so I was travelling from Chennai to Bangalore. Mr. Raja was one of the co passengers. In the morning when we were almost reaching Bangalore he asked me if it would be cold in Bangalore. I was neither wearing a sweater nor had a shawl. I was in a dilemma but told him that it would be cold. He asked me why I did not have a shawl or sweater. I said that in my hurry I had left my shawl at Chennai. He immediately opened his suitcase and gave me a shawl saying I must take it and should not risk my health. I cherish the shawl as a token of his kindness to the elderly. He had a thoughtful way of steering the talk towards the reason of my not having any warm clothes.
