PA State Route 160 North: Lincoln Highway to Central City in Somerset County

On 8-26-21, we cruised PA 160 from Windber PA south to Central City in Somerset County -- where the road was closed pending replacement of a bridge over Dark Shade Creek. On 8-27, we cruised PA 160 North from US 30/ Lincoln Highway to the same town: Central City. That is until we came to the same road closure pending replacement of that bridge over Dark Shade Creek. PA 160 is a secondary but scenic Highway -- and at least on August 27, 2021, it was not heavily travelled.

Thank you for sharing. At 6:15 the big orange apartment building is where my parents lived for over 30 years. At 6:56 the banner on the telephone pole has a picture of my Great Uncle Lamoine Weicht. He was a WWII veteran.
