PA State Route 160 South: Windber to Central City in Somerset County

We cruise PA 160 South from the southwest section of Windber to Central City in Somerset County -- where the road was closed pending replacement of a bridge over Dark Shade Creek. PA 160 is a secondary but scenic Highway -- and at least on August 26, 2021, it was not heavily travelled.

I am originally from Central City. It was so good to see it on your video. I am not able to get home as often as I would like to. You went past my Aunt and Uncle's house and my mom's house. This video brought back so many good memories. Thank you so much for sharing it.

My mom grew up in Central City. One of my cousins lives in Cairnbrook. I've driven that route (56 to 160) hundreds of times in my life.

Are used to go to windburn Johnstown quite a bit back in the 70s and 1996 I wrote up on Sunday and stop by WJC radio is the Polish building Deb and they were telling me about a POLK a band that was playing in Central city call POLK a magic and when I got there I had the time of my life afterwards I took 160 down almost in the CumberlandOn my way back home to front Royal Virginia but I had the time on my wife up there during Central city heritage days I’ll never forget that day I had the time of my life

Will you do the Red Belt or Orange Belt next? The pros of you doing the Orange Belt would be because Beauty and the Beast is my 3rd best Disney movie after Aladdin and The Lion King, and that is one reason why I strongly recommend traveling the Orange Belt next. However, if you do travel the Orange Belt, the down side would be that you would have to make more videos than you would the Red Belt and it would be like when I filmed Aladdin and the Yellow Belt where I just watched special features, which would be a similar scenario for Beauty and the Beast and the Orange Belt. On the other hand, if you filmed the Red Belt cruise next, then there would be less videos to film and I could end up watching the movie just for fun, which is a similar scenario to The Lion King and the Green Belt. So, please let me know which one of these belts you plan to travel next and I will keep my eyes peeled for them, okay?
