I just happened to run into your channel while doing tons of research in adventure riding and PA area. This is very helpful and definitely going to look into this for next year. Currently waiting for my bike to be delivered for next season. I'm in PA, Aston/Brookhaven area so easy access into Jersey if you wanna show me some easy rides to get used to it? Not new to riding but new to the whole adventure thing and all. Great video! awesome gear! and honestly nothing wrong with the headband ;)

There’s plenty of rides in PA, mostly where I ride because it’s close to Jersey. Look into the Cross PA Adventure Trail group on Facebook. Also the MABDR and NEBDR. NEBDR is more difficult. What bike you getting?

This was very entertaining. A ton of content and I like the mix of different shots and angles with the different cameras. I plan on trying this route in the spring. I’m from North Jersey, always trying to find people to ride with as adventure riding has its risks and being younger not many friends of mine have bikes, nonetheless adventure bikes.

Until I saw you mention it I didn't realize how much I liked the mix of camera angles and drone shots too. I also liked Alex's sense of humor and attitude. I'm older and have tried riding with groups a couple of times but it's very unnatural for me. Thanks Alex!

Nice video and narration by Alex! About your tip # 58, I think the opposite is also true. Even for riders planning travel only from hotel to hotel, you should always have the capability of impromptu emergency camping comfortably. Multiple times I have seen videos of tired groups traveling late into the night to get to a hotel and / or restaurant. It looks not just uncomfortable but even dangerous.

Tip of the day in those expert sections….. your over gripping, and not staying loose on the grips. GS models are the most forgiving too. Terra lever fronts are plush when it comes to deflection..

Alex! New subscriber here. Great job with the video brother. Love your angles and gear. I’m heading out to do PA Wilds in five days with two other riders. I love capturing these trips and I’m still learning how to utilize all my camera gear to get footage people will actually enjoy. Question for you now. What mic are you using and what helmet do you have? That’s my biggest struggle.
@PonderingBiker Жыл бұрын
I was using the GoPro 8 with media mod. Basically attach a lavaliere microphone to that. I just got the new DJI action 4 and also use the same mic on that with an adapter. If you add me on instagram I could take a photo and send you what the set up looks like. Instagram aruiz42 What cameras are you using. I don’t use any microphones when taking straight at camera. Hate feeling like what I’m recording is work.
@adv4me Жыл бұрын
@@PonderingBiker I’m using the action 3 on my helmet and it’s wired to capture cardo coms as well. I’ve tried 5 mics so far including purple panda and an $80 rode lav mic and they all sound like shit. I use a hero 9 on the bars and my “camp cam” is the Osmo pocket. Also bringing my DJI mini pro.
@PonderingBiker Жыл бұрын
@@adv4me have you updated your camera? can you control the gain into negative now? if you cant try to update the osmo action 3. but from what I hear its always going to be a bit of static. my rule is as long as I have decent audio it doesn't have to be perfect.

Looking to do this loop soon. Some say do it in 4 days but you did it in 3. Do you think that was too much and did you have to "push it" to get it done in 3 days or is it fairly doable in 3 days?
