Oregon State student-athlete Jade Carey captured the all-around title (39.675) against UC Davis and Alaska Anchorage on Friday, Feb. 7 in Corvallis. For the third time this season, Carey nailed a score of 9.975 on beam.

Jade Carey has an awesome performance. She scored two perfect 10's but was cheated out by the judges. Most Definitely she had a pair of perfect 10's.

Auburn got so much home cooking but Jade and the Beavs do not have the same benefit.

I’ll be the first to say that I think OSU gets too much home cooking in their scoring but I actually think her floor tonight could’ve been a 10. I still think vault was overscored because of her leg separation on the table and the hop. Her bars score was correct, her beam was a little high for me because of her split position (could just be this angle), but yea that floor routine was pretty perfect.

Agree with the other commenter, her splits on beam are really good now. Another example of NCAA helping make her great gymnastics even greater! Otherwise, yep, I agree with your comment.

The NCAA code of points remains bullshit. This beam routine does NOT deserve a 10 start value. Fluff dismount and that SLOW acro series should not be receiving so much bonus. Even if it was done quicker it doesn't deserve the .3 connection bonus that it's given.

You mean the same dismount that pretty much all the college athletes are doing? I think pretty much all the gainer dismounts are a copout, honestly. But they count, so.
