Great video, lots of great diagnostic strategy. Been lucky enough to have DAVIE4 to troubleshoot EUP issues on the MX. As seen, they will start with one operational pump, so the disconnect method is quick check to get you going down correct diagnostic path. Like a lot of fuel system failures, the pumps have a high failure rate when debris gets in the non-return valve (outlet ceramic ball) and destroys it. Great care must be taken if removing outlet high pressure pipe to rail to prevent debris entry and flushing with hand primer pump is highly recommended. Worse failure is when EUP return spring breaks, takes out lifter anti-rotation bolt, and wipes out camshaft. I have pictures! I think a great application of this strategy would be very helpful on EPA17 up MX-13. The camshaft on those is hollow steel with pressed on lobes. I haven't seen it, but I have heard of the lobes loosing interference fit, slipping on cam, and microwelding back to cam so timing of cam lift vs coil operation is no longer in sequence. Curious if you have used a piezoelectric clamp on probe on any fuel high pressure testing? Once again, great video and keep them coming!!!!
