paccar Thermostats

I have paccar 579. With 1,062,000 miles on it. Runs great. Gotta get my leaf spring bushings replaced eventually because every time I turn the wheel to back it clicks.

I'm been trying to remove it all day yesterday but don't have a vise to prevent movement. I will not tighten it down to much to prevent it from cracking. Now I got to find a shop that will let me use their vice.

oh yeah, thats the same part #'s I have from Pape' KenWorth, however they did not know which was which. what I mean is Which # matches the part that controls more flow (assuming one opens more than the other, I havent disassembled the thermo-housing yet)

heres a Q? what year was the change from two parts with same # / and two parts with different #s and heat ranges??

How do you know thermostat goes bad? What were the symptoms

@@sheralijuraev88 it’s getting hot up the hill and it can cool it down with a fan or it cannot create temperature. It stays under operating temp.

​@@arsentrucking7883i ordered this tool off Amazon that delivered next day. This tool pulled it out easy. I just turned the pulling arms the opposite way and it came out easily.
