Ingredients:
Marinate
Fish - 500 g
Turmeric Powder - 1tbsp
Salt - 1 1/2 tbsp
Red Chilli Powder - 2 tbsp
Oil - 5 tbsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Onion - 3 Medium size
Green Chilli - 12
Salt - 1 tbsp
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
Fenugreek (Methi) - 1/2 tbsp
Tamarind Paste
Raw Mango 1
Red Chilli Powder - 1 tbsp
Jeera Powder - 1 tsp
Jeera - 1 tsp
Curry Leaves
Coriander Powder - 2 tbsp
Garam Masala - 1 tbsp
Fresh Coriander
Method:
* Marinate the fish with turmeric powder, salt, and red chilli powder. Keep it aside for about 15-20 minutes.
* Heat oil in a pan, add turmeric powder, chopped onions, green chillies, and salt. Saute until onions turn translucent.
* Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a couple of minutes until the raw smell disappears.
Now, add fenugreek seeds (methi), tamarind paste, and pieces of raw mango. Cook until the raw smell of tamarind fades away.
* Sprinkle red chilli powder, jeera powder, and whole jeera (cumin seeds). Mix well.
* Add curry leaves, coriander powder, and garam masala. Stir for a minute.
* Carefully place the marinated fish into the pan. Let it cook on one side for a few minutes, then *gently flip the pieces and cook on the other side until they are done.
*Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
*Serve hot with steamed rice.
