I love these adverts....I grew up in New Mexico and my auntie lived in NYC during the '70's -'90's and our family would joke about where she lived 😂 especially when she came back and forth with the "NYC?!?!?😮" Joke.😂 Everytime I hear or see the word whether or not it is related to this company I remember the advert and joking with my auntie 😂😊

@knerduno5942 I remember that episode! He was a lawyer friend of Rockford's, who got his old 'biker leathers' out, and went after the gang that 'assaulted', (& gang raped) his sister.

I've lived most of my life in NYC (though now we're preparing to move). My niece and nephew, who grew up in California, once told me about this commercial. I had never seen it; I guess they didn't show this commercial here? Though they do sell Pace Salsa and Picante in the supermarkets here.

Back in the day they probably could (like the 60's & 70's). I'm assuming that Pace is doing a parody of Smokey and the Bandit and Convoy.

In the 40's - the 60's, Texas Sheriffs, and the County Justice of the Peace could do anything they wanted; even making folks leave town mysteriously, permenently. No one dared say a damn thing about it. Look up, "Jasper County" Texas.

I agree. And for what? Serving the wrong picante sauce? Those cops have to be two of the crooked ones to make that charge stick. But then again, this is a parody, as no real cop would ever shut down a diner for not having their favorite brand of whatever they like, as if it happeed in real life, imagine the news coverage and PR nightmare the cops and the department they work for would face.
