Johann Pachelbel is happily asleep dreaming about his favorite piece when a sinister shadow emerges and suddenly plunges his dream into unspeakable horrors. Fighting for his timeless masterpiece's life, Johann conducts a glorious battle against the evil lurking in the depths of his mind, an eternal battle of courage and triumph that continues to this very day.
As always, thank you for listening.

I agree with most of your comment, but while his piece is technically demanding like some of Chopin's works, the contrapuntal and harmonic complexity of Chopin's works surpasses this piece in particular. This being said, I really enjoyed his take on Pachelbel's canon and will look into his other stuff.
@michaelnguyen6772

Samuel Labrecque This video is definitely much more of a showcase in chops than anything specifically musically complex - but aside from going to minor and making some chords spicier, you can't really tamper w the progression too much or it stops being of the pachelbel variety.

9:36 breaks my soul every time, it's so amazingly beautiful. The song is a rollercoaster of emotions, it starts with the joy of being alive. 2:26 it transfers to describe the feeling when you discover something you've searched for your whole life and you start to build a dream around it. 5:29 you encounter the obstacles that'll unforgivingly and undoubtly emerge and you get to follow the path you take when hope and despair alternate each other. 7:53 is when you have given your last, the last attempt to mend everything and you'll find yourself in the same rollercoaster between your dreams and your nightmares. 9:36 is when you finally realize that nothing is meant to be forever, or maybe at all. You understand that the dreams you once had were futile and that they never were meant for you. This is where all hope end. I really do understand why it's called nightmare. Even though you might be referring to bringing the complexity of the song up several notches.

_The Story of Pachelbel's Nightmare._ 0:00 the intro starts, Pachelbel is dreaming about his piece, his piece was that he was proud about. 0:23 he was happy, he thought his dream will be just another night of peace. 0:28 but an entity appeared, a very dark and menacing entity walks to the Pachelbel, without hesitation. 0:35 they looked at eachother with silence. 0:36 and just then, the entity corrupts Pachelbel's masterpiece, Pachelbel was furious, and they fought with vigourous might. 0:49 Pachelbel wants to take his masterpiece back to normal, but the entity grabs his piece, and it was a hard to let go of the entity's grip. 0:57 Pachelbel slowly let go of his piece, because it was hard to take away from it's grasp. 1:02 and the entity sucks out the masterpiece of it's joy, and happiness to a dark, and grim theme. 1:24 Pachelbel tries to stop the entity for corrupting his masterpiece, but it won't budge. 1:30 but slowly Pachelbel gets his masterpiece to change things back. 1:43 the entity tries to take back control over Pachelbel's piece. 2:07 finally Pachelbel got his piece back from the entity's grasp, he was very happy to get his piece retrieved from the entity 2:27 Pachelbel is now relaxed now that he got his piece back. 3:02 but just then...the entity took back control, and once again Pachelbel has to try his best to get it back 3:12 they fought again for the piece as they try their hardest to get their hands on it. 3:39 and just then, Pachelbel punched the entity across their face, and it spuns around while dropping the masterpiece, before passing out. 3:44 Pachelbel grabs it and tries to run away from the entity while it's still down. 4:04 Pachelbel takes a short break for awhile. 4:32 the entity wakes up and slowly approaches Pachelbel. 4:56 the entity grabs the piece again Pachelbel is trying his best not to lose his piece again. 5:18 and the fight is over...or is it? 5:29 *_SIKE!_* it ain't over yet son, the fight still continues, and they settle this once for all... 6:29 and then, the entity pushes Pachelbel away... 6:36 but Pachelbel never gave up...he kept on going, he was determined to get his piece back, once and for all. 6:47 he stands tall, determined and, brave against the entity. and tries his best to get his piece back 7:07 and they fought again for the piece, and Pachelbel gets the upper hand against the entity, and pins it to the ground. 7:35 the entity is stuck against Pachelbel's grasp, and tries to escape it. 7:54 Pachelbel is so proud of what he did, he got his piece back and it felt like he achieved great victory against the entity. 8:22 he cries of tears of joy, and can hear an audience behind him clap at his achievement, cheering with joy. 8:38 wait for it...wait for it... 8:43 and his magnum opus shines within him, the audience is cheering for him, and throwing roses at the composer, and was heartfelt, that he will cherish it within his life. 9:25 he was filled with joy, he felt happy again, and was finally let his magnum opus shine within glory. 9:59 but yet something felt a bit dark...it was the entity's presence that sent chills down his spine. 10:26 he woke up with a cold sweat dropping from his face like a pile of sand. *THE END.*

You would be great at creating soundtracks for movies, adding the perfect emotion and tone to go with the scenes. When I read your description, I imagined the guy who played for silent movies (picture a damsel in distress tied to the railroad tracks, then being rescued by her hero at the last second). =) I think it would have not been very easy to play without a break for the duration of an entire movie.

Absolutely amazing. I used to play the piano but then moved and my parents sold my piano so I have not played for close to 12 years. I miss it, so I live vicariously through other pianists, and you are one of my favorites. :) Please keep posting and playing.

I ranked very high nationally when I played flute in junior high, but no amount of determination could get me to your skill level. We all have our own talents, and memorizing music is not one of mine. Neither could I ever get my hands to play music like that even if reading sheet music. Your skill level is astoundingly good (like nothing I've heard elsewhere), and this is absolutely one of my favorite pieces of yours.
