Serialism and atonality are vestiges of the 20th century. Composition teachers many times are stuck in that century's ugly atonal music, unfortunately so for young composers who get indoctrinated to compose that way still today. My dream is that a young Italian composer comes up with an Opera composed at the artistic level of Verdi and Puccini. Dove è il nuovo Verdi, il nuovo Puccini oggidì? Dove si trova?
