They seemed to give up from about the 30th minute until the 60th minute. You can't go missing for that long in a game and expect a strong start and finish to get you a result.

The ref completely ignored Tonga's blatant forward pass right before the try line (01:22:34). Tonga couldn't win despite everything the ref gave them. Australia just had the superior team, simple as that.

@CarltyAnakbesi you can see the strength in their runs. Although durability and the referee seem to swing Australia's way. I watched the game from an unbiased perspective and saw the faults of both sides. And I don't like that referee because his calls always seem to be somewhat rigged looking at his previous games. Adam Gee was a more fair and decent referee.

Difference between aus and Tonga is that Australia has at least 5 or 6 players who can take charge and make calls where as Tonga only has the rookie halves. I wonder if alamoti didn’t get hurt would that be the difference because they saw he was hurt and scored on his side. Anyways congrats Australia.

Tonga shouldn't of even been in the final considering a penalty kick should of been given too NZ when two Tongan players were off side when Johnson went for a field goal. The non penalty was easy kick for two points...but somehow the bunker missed the off side Tongans. Btw in the final the Tongans were lucky Australia bombed 3 or 4 tries too make it look close.
