Snoqualmie to Stevens - IMO - is the most beautiful section in WA. Thanks for posting.

a few comments on this episode - another great one I for one would be really interested in an episode that covers how you produce these videos - equipment, tools, process, etc., not only are these videos fantastic from a content standpoint, but that you are making them and editing them while on the trail just blows my mind. In your videos you will include short shots of flowers, lakes, mountains and the like. I'll see these and think - oh my god! that is just so beautiful! But for the two of you, it has become in a way so commonplace that it must not register in the same way. But the shots of the pristine alpine lakes and flowers - just incredible. hope the injuries subside and the skies remain clear for you. Thanks so much for this.

If you guys were just starting out, your new trail names could be knees bees! Thanks for all of the posts, they are terrific!

Yes the yellow jackets just randomly sting (bite). I was stung a year ago while hiking and the damn things keep going after me ever since. It’s like you carry the 🐝‘mark’.

I've been watching thru-hike videos for the last 7 years. You guys are by far the best! And you need to put out a soundtrack I love your music, how do you find such great music? OneGear, PCT 16, A.T. 19✌

I use to do bird surveys in the White Pass area. I love that area and wish I could be there again. Stung by three bees on both ankles is terrible.

Last Map, last pair of shoes. Happy but sad all at once. Really enjoying these Rob. So glad you didn't drop them all at once like one commenter said. I really look forward to these videos and the building expectation. The nearer we get to Canada the more Rob lets his guard down and smiles 😃. How long did Casey's knee take to mend? On the final straight metaphorically speaking. Can't wait for the next drop. Beautiful music, beautiful scenery when you were out of the smoke. Was it hunting season? How many more videos to go? Wish there were a lot but sadly all good things come to an end.

I gad really weird dreams in between Snoqualmie and Stevens Passes, but had the most successful hike from Chinook Pass to Canada in 2019.

That smoke is awful. I’m a bit surprised some of you were willing to hike through it. I got stung by a hornet once. It wasn’t fun. Three stings?! Yikes!

I feel so bad that you guys are limping along with bee stings and bad knee and choking on smoke, and all I can think is keep walking! I haven’t seen enough yet! Lolol.

You two are amazing and I'm going to miss following you weekly when you're done on the PCT. Hope you have some more traveling/hiking planned (after your body rests from this).

I’ve been travelling with you vicariously for the last few months, so decided I’d pop in and say a big thank you to you both for the quality and nature of your vids. You’re very inspiring. Best wishes for the rest of the trip.🥰

If I never hike the entire trail, this part is on my bucket list along with the High Sierra (JMT). Thanks for filming, editing and producing these. P.S. I now know how to make you laugh ... watch Rob in pain.

I'm the old fart again and new groupee. OK, you both have changed my entire assessment of physical endurance and strength. We did 8 or 10 miles into a basecamp with heavy frame packs on maybe three day climbs, and not thru hiking. Big deal. I have run two dozen marathons. Big deal. You do marathon repeats daily with a pack and over months of varied terrain. To me, this is the true test of real strengh over flash. My high regards.

What Yellow Jacket nest did you kick? They seem to be passing the word down the line to get you.

While not terrible, that's definitely not my favorite section of the PCT. Add the smoke to it and I imagine it was pretty challenging. Hope the knee and stings improve quickly (and are long gone at the present moment!) Snoqualmie to Canada is magical, looking forward to the grand finale!

Cassie, do those hoodie shirts you wear protect you from the mosquitos. I just bought one for PCT 2022. Mosquitos are my biggest fear.
@HeadingSomewhere3 жыл бұрын
I love these hoodies but I was aware that the mozzies were getting through this shirt more than the Columbia shirt I wore last time (same one that Rob is wearing), especially around the shoulders. I remember wishing that I had sent myself that shirt when we got destroyed in Yosemite. Overall for me it wasn’t a big deal except for when we were in swarms. One of our fellow hikers ended up swapping from the hoodie to the Columbia style and reported a huge improvement in mosquito bites. Hope that helps!

For my 60th birthday, Hiking the JMT with my wife next year who has never done a long hike before. Isn’t she great. If we don’t snag a permit would you recommend another part of the PCT as an alternative? 200 miles plus or minus
@HeadingSomewhere3 жыл бұрын
If you’re looking for something similar-ish to JMT, the northern half of Washington would be a great alternative!

I once had a summer of hornet ankle bites, like they leave behind a scent, “avenge my death brethren!”
