I’ve enthusiastically followed your every posting about your trail journey. Your gumption, humor, and filming has made a great travelogue showing the heaven hell side of the trek. So nice for both you and Roberto to have been good fun loving trail family for a bit. It can take the edge off of handling ever changing daily situations alone. Damn you both! Good fun ahead for you both! Many years ago At 50 I went on an unsupported 15 month bicycle trip that covered 22 countries. The planner laid it out to follow summer. Camped wild. Carried stoves & water. Tires on the road except when changing continents. Start/finish San Diego Ca. (Hint for your next event, avoid snow) We crossed Germany W to E choosing historic, mountainous areas except for Berlin. Couldn’t have been a more wonderful experience in part because of the locals who laughed with us and at us as we cycled with our gigantic panniers. You can imagine our camping wild experiences. Many families offered us their fields or amazingly immaculate barns. Still hear from some. Hope you’ve also found there are kind helpful people throughout the world. ( well…mostly :) ) Can’t wait to see you at the monument with a Mountain Dew. Thanks for the effort

WOW! 😱 That is one hell of a trip you did there 🤩👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I could never ride a bike that long 😬 it‘s so great to meet local people and then stay in touch with them over so many years 🤩👍🏻

Julia, I know you don’t have time to spare but when you get to where a side trail goes one half mile to Spectacle Lake take it as a side trip. This is several miles past Snoqualmie Pass. Maybe many. However the view from the lake is absolutely spectacular. You are doing awesome and will soon be enjoying kissing the Canadian border ❤️

I'm all about freezer bag rehydration, too. Before sealing for the trip, it's a great time to add spicy stuff (Trader Joe's Ghost Pepper is very UL) or garlic/citrus powder.

Congrats on 2300. Barely more than 300 to go. It will go so fast. You will run into a lot of hikers along the way who skipped up to WA like you did so I’m sure you’ll have lots of company. And you should have lots of great views from here on out. Lots of ups and down but stunning views. So enjoy
